Rough around the edges. With their Precision 3000 workstation-series, Dell promises lots of performance for comparatively little money. Our review update takes a look at the overall concept and checks for potential issues.

Small and strong. Dell has created a significantly lighter chassis now that the aging E-Port is becoming a thing of the past. The lack of Thunderbolt 3, however, severely limits the docking capabilities of this latest Latitude redesign.

The lightest 14-inch laptop in the world - part 2. We performed our benchmarks on the i7 version called GV0101T of the compact B9440UA that only has a few interfaces. Are the 300 Euros extra a good investment? It depends if the buyer finds 256 GB more SSD capacity worth 300 Euros.

Better with IPS! We already reviewed the new HP EliteBook 840 G4. One of the biggest issues of the 14-inch business laptop is the TN panel with its limited viewing angles. We now had the chance to check two optional IPS screens.

Inexpensive gamer. Acer's inexpensive gaming notebook displays all the latest computer games smoothly. The device is available for just under £800 (~$1035) in the UK. It is equipped with a Kaby Lake quad-core processor, a GeForce GTX 1050 GPU and both an SSD and HDD.

Agony of choice. We compare the displays for the new ThinkPad T470s. WQHD, Full HD or touchscreen – how does the choice influence the picture quality as well as the battery runtime?

The world's most lightweight 14-inch notebook. That is at least according to Asus, since the company advertises their latest 1.05 kg (2.31 lbs) heavy and 15 mm (0.59 inches) USB-C only office notebook as such. Our extensive review is going to reveal whether or not the restrictions necessary to achieve this feat are worth it, and how the B9400UA fared in its role as a highly mobile office notebook.

4K Gaming. The Acer Predator series stands for classical gaming notebooks, which – in contrast to some of their slim siblings – are purely trimmed for performance. After we tested the Skylake version of the Predator 17 in September of 2016, now the Kaby-Lake model, which is similarly built on the outside, must prove itself.

Snazzy. With the ZenBook UX3410UQ, Asus delivers a sub-notebook in the 13.3-inch format that brings a 14-inch display. The computer scores with good features and a long battery life.

Flexibility and stamina. Convertible notebooks with 360° hinges have become more and more popular in the past years and even businesses have started using them. Naturally, Dell would like a piece of the pie and has consequently launched the Latitude 5289. Magnesium. With its rare Atom x7-Z8750, 8 GB of RAM, and Android 6 / Windows 10 dual-boot capabilities, Teclast's Tbook 16 Power stands out against the crowd. By pushing it through our extensive test course we've found several problems along the way.

Entry-level Nitro. Acer's 17.3-inch laptop offers good overall performance, decent emission levels, and a well-thought-out ports configuration. Unlike its predecessors, it does not include an optical drive anymore. Our review unit also did not include a Windows license.

Small screamer. The Aorus X3 Plus v7 brings a lot of power in a tiny package. While the internals are impressive, thermals and noise present problems. Emissions aside, the X3 Plus v7 is a capable and portable gaming notebook.

Master of Mobility. With its new flagship, Fujitsu turns towards the traveling business user for whom a mobile all-around worry-free package is worth a lot of money. It does not change anything about its core competencies that the manufacturer messes up in some details and will not keep the target audience from buying this laptop.

A fair deal. With its latest TravelMate P658-G2 top model, Acer is certainly bringing out the big guns: SSD/HDD combo, LTE modem, 16 GB of RAM. All that comes in addition to low operating noise, decent battery life, and a three-year warranty.

Workstation with gaming roots. MSI offers mobile workstations based on its gaming laptops for quite a while now. The WE72 is a new 17-inch system, but is the implementation of a professional graphics card sufficient to satisfy demanding customers?

A longitudinal update. The Latitude series has begun phasing out the proprietary E-port in favor of the more versatile Thunderbolt 3 port. Otherwise, not too much has changed from the outgoing E5570 series.

Slim and powerful. After the successful Aero 14, Gigabyte presents its next high-end notebook with a stylish design. A convincing concept. The equation Lenovo uses for describing their new gaming laptop does appear to make sense: power + portability = perfection. The perfection might not be absolute - but Lenovo does show that they know what a true gaming notebook is all about.

Successful reboot. The "pre-Prey" from 2006 proved to be a genuine first-person shooter with its gravity components, which players long remembered. After discontinuing the originally planned Prey 2, the publisher Bethesda has announced a reorientation of the franchise in 2017. We checked the PC version's performance.
