Initially rumored to be called GTX 20xxx, the next gen Nvidia GPU series seemed like it could actually use the 11xx suffix in the past few months. However, a new Russian ECC certificate for Manli's upcoming Nvidia GPUs informs that the series could use the 20xx denomination after all. Additionally, it mentions that the GPUs use the Ampere architecture.

Laptops with the GeForce GTX 1060 will always be more expensive than the same model with the slower GeForce GTX 1050. Price mistake or not, the Dell G7 15 with the GTX 1060 Max-Q is suddenly cheaper than the GTX 1050 Ti option. The sale extends across the entire G5 lineup, but the price cut is steeper on the GTX 1060 Max-Q SKU for one reason or another.

Although World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is not going to bring any major changes in the graphics department, NVIDA recommends a GeForce GTX 1060 to fully enjoy the game in high detail and 60 frames per second at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 are required to properly run the game at 2,560 x 1,440 and 3,840 x 2,160.

Origin's new EVO17-S is the thinnest and lightest 17-inch laptop from the custom retailer. That said, the device is still comparatively hefty at 0.98-inches thick and 6.6. lbs. However, crammed into the case are an Intel Core i9-8950HK, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Max-P, and up to 6 TB of NVMe and SATA storage. Expect to pay out the nose for all that tech, though.

WCCFTech's sources inform that the GTX 1060 successor should feature 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM and will be launched in late September for around US$500, while the GTX 1070 successor would also get 8 GB VRAM, but will be launched in mid-September for US$600. As for the flagships, these are said to feature 11 GB GDDR6 and would launch in early September for US$700.

It looks like Nvidia's AIB partners have already been notified about the upcoming GTX 11 launch schedule. First to launch will be the GTX 1180 flagship at the end of August. Then after 1 month the overclocked GTX 1180 cards will be launched along with the GTX 1170. Late October will see the launch of the GTX 1160 and the mobility variants will most likely come in late November.

The eye-catching Blade 15 officially starts at $1900 USD, but the cheapest configuration sits at $2200 due to insufficient stock. There have been no announcements on when we can expect the sub $2000 configuration to be available.

The leaked 3DMark picture shows some outstanding specs for the GTX 1170, besides the benchmark score. Apparently, the next gen GPU will come with as much as 16 GB of GGDR6 VRAM running at 2.5 GHz, which already sounds a bit exaggerated. Upon closer inspection, one could find a few red flags that signal faked information.

Nvidia wants you to start the new school year with an Asus ROG Zephyrus, Acer Predator, MSI GS65, Razer Blade, or Dell Alienware laptop. Prices range from $600 USD for a GTX 1050 notebook up to $2800 USD for a fully-configured GTX 1080 Max-Q.

The $1900 USD Blade 15 GTX 1060 configuration is both slower and cheaper than the Blade 15 GTX 1070 and yet it brings several benefits not available on the more powerful SKU. Our tests reveal that the 60 to 70 W GTX 1060 Max-Q option is less demanding than the 80 to 90 W GTX 1070 Max-Q for noticeably cooler core temperatures and longer battery life.

We recommend double-checking the specifications to make sure you are getting exactly what you are buying. The GT 1030 DDR4 costs about the same as the superior GT 1030 GDDR5 while performing significantly slower in games. HTPC builders amd gamers ought to take caution.

DigiTimes reports that Nvidia may be experiencing some problems with the current GTX 10 GPU overstock and might postpone the launch of the GTX 11 family for a few months, despite already being in possession of around one million next gen GPU cards. This could mean that the custom-made AIB and mobility versions could launch almost at the same time as the Founders' editions.

Gigabyte was first to acknowledge the arrival of the GTX 11 mobile GPUs in Q4 2018, and now Lenovo is confirming that the next gen gaming GPUs from Nvidia should arrive in November/December. Among the first laptop to receive the GTX 11 treatment is Lenovo's Legion Y530, which will integrate the GTX 1160 6 GB VRAM version.

Shuttle's mini PC lineup just got upgraded with GTX 1050 discrete GPUs from Nvidia. The new DH02U is powered by the Celeron 3865U dual-core CPU, while the more advanced DH02U model features the i5-7200U dual core. Both models are missing the storage and RAM solutions, but they do provide support for up to 32 GB of DDR4 and room for a SATA SSD plus an NVMe SSD.

With the new Legion Cube C730, Lenovo is attempting to provide a hybrid between mini PCs and mini tower desktops. The portability is quite affected by the 20-pound weight, but Lenovo does offer a handle to move the system around easier. Users can choose between the i7-8700K/8700 and i5-8400 six-core CPUs, up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, up to 512 NVMe SSD plus up to 4 TB HDD storage, and a choice between the GTX 1060 and the Radeon RX 570 GPUs.

According to insider sources, Nvidia's desktop GPU team is already testing GTX 11xx prototype PCBs and the final specs should be announced in mid-July. One of these prototype PCBs was already leaked on reddit. The board does not feature the GPU, however the spec sheet includes 12 GB of GDDR6 VRAM with a 384-bit bus, three 8-pin power connectors and a second gen NVLink.

NVIDIA's Add-in Board (AIB) partners are expected to receive the first shipments of NVIDIA's next generation 'Turing' architecture GPUs sometime in between late August to early September. The official nomenclature is yet to be made official but we can expect some leaks to crop up once the first shipments are out. The initial seeding to the AIB partners, however, is said to be in limited volumes.

Nvidia may deny the imminent release of their next gen gaming GPUs all they want, however, more evidence for a Q3 2018 GTX 11xx release has recently been unveiled by Power Logic's CEO. The largest GPU air cooling provider on the market is expecting a considerable increase in cooler shipments in the second half of 2018, essentially confirming Nvidia's and AMD's next gen GPU arrival.

New leaks reveal that Nvidia's GTX 1180 will support higher refresh rates through one VR-friendly connection, making it possible to render 4K@120 Hz content for each eye, and this would also apply to the TV-sized G-Sync 4K monitors. Price-wise, the GTX 1180 will not match the original launch MSRP of the GTX 1080, as there will be two versions and the most affordable one is supposed to cost US$999.

AMD's semi-custom chipset technologies for Microsoft, Sony, and even Intel may be becoming too lucrative to ignore. If rumors are true, then the AMD Navi series will not be competing in the flagship space against the impending Nvidia Turing GTX 1180 or 2080 due to development commitments with Sony.
