Since Intel first revealed its new Comet Lake-S processors and its new chipsets at the end of April, we were able to get our hands only on the high-end Intel Core i9-10900K and the Intel Core i5-10600K. Intel’s CPUs are still the best for gaming, but this comes at a very high cost.

Redefining the GS series. It's been a long time since we've seen a completely redesigned GS laptop from MSI. The GS66 is a leap forward for the series in terms of visual style and build quality while the new processors are just okay upgrades at best.

New Core i5 name, same Core i5 performance. The 10th gen Core i5-10300H is so similar to both the 9th gen Core i5-9300H and 8th gen Core i5-8300H that it's only worth upgrading if you own a laptop with the Core i5-7300HQ/i7-7700HQ or older. As a budget gaming laptop, the GF75 10SCXR is essentially identical to last year's cheaper GF75 9SC with no performance surprises despite the next-gen CPU.

Create in style. The Modern 15 is fit for budget-conscious users who need more power than the typical Ultrabook without spending too much on heavier higher-end options equipped with Core H CPUs and GeForce GTX GPUs.

For the modern office. MSI's latest mid-range office laptop for content creators offers Comet Lake-U, GeForce MX250 graphics, and a well-calibrated 14-inch 1080p display all for under $900 USD and at a weight of just 1.2 kg. Its advantages are clear, but some of its disadvantages are just glaring.

Good package with some limitations. While budget gaming notebooks often have difficulties displaying current games at maximum details, the price-to-performance ratio is good in most cases. MSI's GF63 Thin 9SC is a fairly affordable representative of this species.

LFG raid. The GE65 is 19 percent smaller and 12 percent lighter than the outgoing GE63 while retaining all the same ports and most physical features. It's one of the lighter 15.6-inch gaming laptops you can buy from MSI outside of the GS65.

Last gen look, current gen graphics. It may not have the sexy narrow bezels of the latest laptops, but the GE63 still comes equipped with one of the fastest Nvidia GPUs available and an ultra-smooth 144 Hz display with almost no ghosting.

Needs more SKU options. The MSI WE75 workstation is based off of the versatile GE75 chassis and yet it is missing many of the options found on the latter. What's here is great, but we know the WE75 is capable of housing more powerful components.

Prestigious. Low-power Intel with low-power Nvidia work great together for anyone interested in a high-performance ultra-thin laptop. If MSI can address the throttling, then the Prestige 15 can give other popular 15.6-inch Ultrabooks from Dell, HP, and Asus a run for the money.

A game-changer? AMD made its comeback into the CPU business with its Ryzen series not only on desktops but also on laptops. Good looks, but barebones. The WP65 is a decent alternative to the entry-level Dell Precision 3000 series or the HP ZBook 15v series. However, core workstation users will find a lot of missing features on the WP65 when compared to most other mobile workstations.
