MSI is targeting professionals with the PRO MP271 series of monitors. The series peaks at a WQHD and 60 Hz model, which also has a 120 mm height-adjustable stand. All members of the MSI PRO MP271 series are TÜV Rheinland certified.

MSI has unveiled three new monitors under its PRO MP271 series. MSI markets the series at, as its name suggests, professionals, but they will be suitable for home use too. Specifically, the PRO MP271 series is TÜV Rheinland certified, which MSI hopes will attract people who spend a lot of time daily staring at a computer screen.

Nothing necessarily sets the PRO MP271 series apart from its competitors, though. On the one hand, all three monitors peak at 60 Hz and measure 27-inches diagonally. The PRO MP271QP has the highest resolution of the three at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels too, with the others restricted to 1,980 x 1,080 pixels. Also, all the monitors in the PRO MP271 series max out at 250 nits. Additionally, the PRO MP271 series comprises of flat monitors - there are no curved displays to be found here.

The PRO MP271P and PRO MP271QP look the most stylish of the three, in our opinion, but only because of their stands. The slim vertical bezels should make all three suited for use in a multi-monitor setup, while the option to rotate the monitor by 90° should come in handy. The PRO MP271P and PRO MP271QP have 120 mm height-adjustable stands too, which also allow for a swivel of -30°~30° and a tilt of -8°~20°.

We are struggling to understand what is so 'PRO' about them, though. While they support anti-flicker, anti-glare and can emit less blue light, many monitors already do this without being marketed as a professional product. However, the series is neither bright, nor does it have exceptional colour accuracy. Likewise, the panels have slow response times and are only 60 Hz. MSI is yet to announce the price of the PRO MP271 series.
