Over six months after the Nokia 9 PureView was launched to mixed reactions, HMD Global will bring a refreshed flagship with upgraded internals. The Nokia 9.1 PureView will feature 5G support and sport improved cameras while trying to fix the issues the original Nokia 9 had.

Honor now plans to release its first smart TV in the near future. This product is to be called the Vision, and will be powered by a newly-announced SoC, the Honghu 818. It will also incorporate a pop-up camera for user authentication.

Around a month since the introduction of the Nova 5 series, Huawei is ready to unleash the Note 5i Pro. Motorola has released a phone called the P50 in China. This device is nearly identical to the One Vision, except that it runs ZUI 11 rather than stock Android 9.0 (Pie). It also comes in a 6GB RAM flavor, whereas its alternative version only has 4.

According to a new report, a Canadian citizen was able to call for help for himself and his island-hopping fellow tourists using his Samsung Galaxy S8, the only device that apparently survived when their boat capsized off the coast of the Phillippines. The victims of this event were also able to signal their location using the phone's GPS.

Good news LG V20 owners, it looks like your handset will receive Android 9.0 Pie in the not too distant future after all. While the South Korean company pushed the roll-out of Pie to its successor from Q2 to Q3, there is promise of the V20 receiving its last OS update this quarter with LG reportedly testing a beta build internally.

Apple’s 2020 iPhone looks to be the one to get with the latest rumor pointing to an OLED display with a variable refresh rate up to 120Hz. The Nokia rumor mill has generated details on 2 potentially upcoming phones: the 6.2 and 7.2. They are thought to have Marvel-inspired code-names and the circular rear camera module seen in an earlier leak. The latest indication is that they will be released together during an August 2019 event.
