SmoothAF, bruh: POCO X2 gets an official launch date and its own dedicated product page with views and clues
POCO is already becoming one of the more entertaining smartphone makers out there thanks to its subtle clues and teases about its products. But the cat is now officially out of the bag, as the company has announced that the POCO X2 will be launched on February 4. The soon-to-be-released smartphone now has a dedicated product page and its own slogan to boast of: “SmoothAF”.
The product page for the POCO X2 isn’t explicit with specification details, but unsurprisingly it does drop a fair few hints at what the smartphone will offer potential buyers. The first marketing section claims the phone will deliver an “extreme refresh rate” and “extreme gaming”, while the proceeding section points at the POCO X2 offering no less than six shooters for photography fun. Following those is a look at a generic image of an unnamed Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, with the 730G being the most likely candidate.
Moving further down the dedicated site for the POCO X2, there is another signpost for POCO wanting to market this device especially to gamers. An image highlights the device’s cooling system, which should allow gamers to get the most performance out of the POCO X2’s components without worrying about it thermal throttling. Then right at the end of the page we get a glimpse (see below) of the smartphone’s bottom edge, with a view of the USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
It’s an interesting initial reveal for the POCO X2, but of course there are still plenty of details yet to be discovered about the smartphone before its release, including the all-important price tag.
