The next MIUI 11 update for the Pocophone F1 may contain Android 10 but it may not arrive until February, according to a new rumor. The news comes courtesy of Piunikaweb, which reported it this morning. The Pocophone F1 will be the last of Xiaomi's Snapdragon 845-powered devices to receive Android 10, with the company posting its Android 10 kernel source code late last year.
The device did receive MIUI 11 last year too, but remained on Android 9.0 Pie builds of Xiaomi's latest OS. Previously, the GM of Xiaomi Indonesia proclaimed to his Twitter followers that the Android 10 update would arrive once it was ready, and now a Xiaomi representative may have let slip how long the wait will be. The representative stated that while testing has already been completed for the Android 10 update, it will not arrive on stable branches of MIUI until February at the earliest.
Do not take this as confirmed for the time being though, as we have been unable to verify the authenticity of the screenshot below. However, Piunikaweb has been more reliable than not about Xiaomi news lately, so we are willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.
