The Mi A3 is not due to receive Android 10 until next month, right? Not so, according to Xiaomi. The company has informed fans that the OS upgrade is live and rolling out to handsets now. There appears to be no evidence of this being the case, though.

The confusion surrounding the Mi A3 and its Android 10 update continues. The arrival of Google's latest OS on its predecessor fuelled speculation that an equivalent update for the Mi A3 was in the offing, too. Then, Xiaomi issued a disappointingly small January update that just contained a newer security patch, having confirmed that the device would not receive Android 10 until "mid February".

Now, there are reports that some handsets may have already received an upgrade to Android 10. These originate from Xiaomi representatives, who claim that the company has started rolling out the update in batches. However, we cannot find anyone online who has received Android 10 on their Mi A3. On the contrary, Twitter is full of people asking Xiaomi when the OS upgrade will arrive on their handset.

It could be the case that those who have received Android 10 on their Mi A3 have not announced so online, but this seems unlikely. Instead, we would not rule out the possibility of the representative simply being misinformed. We shall keep you updated with more information when we hear of it, though.
