Yesterday, reports of Android 10 hitting the Mi A3 surfaced around the nooks of the Internet. They were fake, sadly. The Mi A3 hasn't received its Android 10 update, but recent developments point towards it being potentially at hand.

Yesterday, reports of the Android 10 update finally hitting the Mi A3 flittered across the Internet. While reports like that may have excited owners of the phones, they were, sadly, fake. Android 10 isn't being sent out to the Mi A3.

It's not all grim for Mi A3 owners, though. Apparently, the Mi A3 is currently in the beta-testing stage. A Xiaomi customer service rep revealed a while ago that the update had been sent out to a closed beta-testing group with about 1,000 members.

A thread also surfaced on the official Mi series with the title "Android 10 - Bug Megathread" for the Mi A3. It was promptly deleted, however.  It's important to point out that the creator of the thread doesn't appear to be a member of the official team. That points towards the creation of said thread not meaning anything at all, with regards to the expected release time for the update.

Xiaomi confirmed a mid-February release a while ago, but we just stepped into the last third of the month. The company would do well to hasten things up.

Supposed Android 10 screenshot for the Mi A3 is actually just a doctored Mi A2 one.
