Xiaomi released the Android 10 kernel source code for the Mi A2 and Mi A3 a few days ago, and we expected the Android 10 OTA to start hitting owners of the devices shortly after. Well, Android 10 is here for the Mi A2. Sadly, it's also the last major OS update the phone will receive.

A few days ago, Xiaomi released the kernel source code for the Mi A2's Android 10 software, which was a major indication of the company's plans to release the Android 10 update. Owners of the Mi A2 finally have cause to celebrate, as the Android 10 update has now been sent out to the device.

The update weighs in at about 1.3 GB, and doubles up as the December security patch. We expect the January patch to be sent out soon.

The update brings all the regular Android 10 features to the phone. There doesn't seem to be a lot of bugs on it either, thankfully; although some users on the Xiaomi subreddit have complained about issues with Bluetooth and Parallel Space.

It's important to note that Android 10 is the second major OS update the Mi A2 has received. That effectively puts it at the end of its life in terms of OS updates, although it will keep getting monthly security patches for a while yet.

At the moment, the Mi A2 Lite and Mi A3 are yet to receive the Android 10 update. We expect the Mi A3 to get its update soon, though.

Have you received the Android 10 update on your Mi A2? Any improvements? Any issues? Let us know in the comments below.
