The service manual for the Dell XPS 15 9570 has been posted online and it looks like the notebook will sport a similar heatsink design with 2 heat pipes as its predecessor. This raises concerns about the possible throttling issues as the previous XPS 15 9560 had to be undervolted and thermal pads applied to the VRMs in order to prevent performance drops due to thermal throttling and power limits.

With the 13-inch variant of the Yoga 730, users can get an FHD IPS touchscreen, and can opt for an i7-8550U or an i5-8250U CPU. They can further add 8 or 16 GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512 GB of NVMe SSD storage. This model specifically impresses with the 2x Thunderbolt 3 connectors that come standard on any variant.

Lenovo has released many ThinkPad laptops in this year already, but no models with AMD Ryzen so far. This apparently changes soon, as the new models ThinkPad A285 and A485 have been listed on the Lenovo website for the first time.

With the promise of all-day battery life, always-on LTE, and smartphone-like standby and resume, the first Windows 10 on ARM devices are here. Windows 10 on ARM may be great feat of engineering, but it does come with limitations unique to it, impacting what one can and cannot get out of an ARM-powered PC. Windows 10 on ARM is still in its infancy and, in its current manifestation, is better worth skipping for future refinements.

Market intelligence provider IDC has released a report detailing the state of the worldwide traditional PC market for the first quarter of 2018 (1Q18). According to the data, both Dell and HP have seen increases in market share in comparison to the first quarter of 2017 (1Q17). However, the total of global PC shipments for the quarter has experienced a flat year-on-year growth.

Exklim has launched a kickstarter campaign for their ultra-portable take on external GPU's. The Taiwanese manufacturer is promising a battery life of up to 17 hours with the new Swift 1 SF114-32. Its starting price in Europe is at 450 Euros to be competitive against other budget offerings shipping with Celeron CPUs. The Dell XPS 15 9570 is certainly one of the highly anticipated refreshes both fans and reviewers were eager to catch hold of. In the wake of the 'Coffee Lake-H' launch, Dell has unveiled what could be its most ambitious XPS 15 yet. Sporting CPU options up to the Core i9-8950HK and GPU options up to the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, the XPS 15 9570 has everything a multimedia enthusiast would require and more. Prices start from US$999 for the Core i5-8300H variant with expected availability sometime in May 2018.

The bezels of the brand-new design are just 4.9 mm thick on three sides for a high 82 percent screen-to-body ratio. MSI is promising the thinnest bezels ever on a 15.6-inch gaming notebook for a final chassis size close to that of a 14-inch notebook. Of course, 8th gen Core i7 options will come standard.

Dell's much-awaited 15-inch convertible, the XPS 15 9575, went on sale yesterday. Although Dell originally touted up to 32GB of RAM, it seems that this configuration is impossible to attain for the time being. The XPS 15 9575's RAM is all soldered, and the 32GB SKU will not be available for some time.

[March 28, 2018 update] Be on the lookout for notebooks shipping with the MX150 'N17S-LG-A1' or '1D12' variant as GPU performance can be 20 to 25 percent slower than a "standard" MX150. The '1D12' label is essentially the Max-Q version of the MX150 and Nvidia has not been explicitly distinguishing between the two distinct MX150 versions in any of its promotional material thus far.

Since 2013, all ThinkPad laptops with a 15,6-inch screen have included a dedicated numpad. As a reaction to many complaints about this state of affairs, a Lenovo employee in the companies own forum has announced that the PC manufacturer will finally release a new model without a numpad. This new ThinkPad will be launched in 2018.

Apart from the standard issue Radeon RX 580 GPU, the latest Gaming Box from Gigabyte comes with the usual 450 W PSU, and connectors including the Thunderbolt 3 port plus four more USB ports that let users connect peripherals like external HDDs. Additionally, there is support for three Display Port 1.3 outputs and an HDMI 2.0 port.

This year's Aero 15/15X models will integrate thinner bases, bringing the overall thickness down to only 0.7 inches. Users will be able to choose between an FHD 144 Hz panel with thin bezels and a 4K screen with AdobeRGB 100% color gamut. It has not been officially unveiled as of yet, but the new models could be powered by Intel's gen 8 Coffee Lake-H hexa-core CPUs.

The LifeBook U938 comes with many options, including i5/i7 Intel Kaby Lake-R CPUs, up to 20 GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB SATA III or NVMe SSDs, a 13.3-inch FHD touchscreen or brighter non-touch display, and enterprise-oriented features like a SmartCard reader, fingerprint scanner or palm vein scanner.

The highly anticipated Dell XPS 15 (9570) could feature a discrete Max-Q GPU. This was confirmed by Dell's Frank Azor in reply to a question asked on Twitter. Azor, however, did not reveal what the exact GPU is but expect to see a GTX 1050 Ti Max-Q at the minimum.
