Although it is not official yet, Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S21 Ultra sometime in January 2021. The flagship will reportedly come with a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel clocked at 120Hz, a quad-camera array with two telephoto lenses, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. It is expected to retail at US$1,300 for the base variant with 128GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.

Samsung could be finally bringing S-Pen support to its Galaxy Z Fold line with next year’s model. According to a new report, the Galaxy Z Fold3 will add the long awaited feature thanks to the introduction of thicker foldable glass and some other tweaks.

Samsung has finally begun issuing fixes for the Galaxy S20 FE's touchscreen problems via a software update. It is roughly 174MB in size and is currently rolling out in Europe. A global release should follow suit in the coming days.

Samsung will be returning to flat screens for the Galaxy S21 series, according to Ice universe. The 2.5D glass of the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus will be replaced by 2D glass, but the S21 Ultra will have a curved display.

Samsung has dropped the first hints about the Exynos 1080, its mid-range successor to the Exynos 980. The chipset is due to be built on a 5 nm node with ARM's new Cortex-A78 and Mali-G78 cores. Samsung claims that the Exynos 1080 will score over 650,000 points in AnTuTu, a score that would put it beyond flagship chipsets like the Snapdragon 865.

Samsung US has announced that the OEM's TV Plus app is coming to smartphones. According to recent reports, Samsung is set to introduce a brand new smartphone lineup. The Galaxy F series is said to offer camera-centric devices at an affordable price point, and will debut with the Galaxy F41. Details of that phone have now also been revealed.

The One UI 2.5 update is making its way to Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 phones in Germany. It adds new functions to Pro Video Mode, Single Take Mode, and Samsung Keyboard. Users can also wirelessly cast their phones to select smart TVs via Wireless DeX. Its global rollout is expected to commence soon.

Samsung has announced that it has started fabricating 16-gigabit LPDDR5 RAM for mobile devices. Samsung claims that its new fabrication process is a breakthrough in RAM scaling as well as bandwidth. Expect to see the new RAM in Samsung’s Galaxy S21 due for launch in Q1 2021.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9, and Galaxy S9+ smartphones are likely to receive a cut-down version of the One UI 2.5 Android skin when it becomes available, due to hardware constraints. Samsung has been praised for offering the software update to older Galaxy models in its lineup though.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (Snapdragon variant), Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ have been taking to online forums to report the well-known green tint display issues that many flagship devices have suffered from in the past. The same green tint problem recently affected Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones too but was fixed with a software update.

Resurrection Remix has announced a new stable version of its custom ROM that is based on Android 10. Resurrection Remix 8.5.7 is now available to download for Xiaomi and Redmi devices, such as the Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi 9T, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 8, and Pocophone F1. The custom ROM can also be used with smartphones from other OEMs.

The Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 series are over two years old at this point and getting to the end of their major support lifespans. All three phones are set for one last hurrah, however, in the form of the One UI 2.5 update.
