New versions of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 and GeForce RTX 3080 could be arriving as soon as December, according to a new report. Apparently, these new cards will be the 16 GB edition of the RTX 3070 and the 20 GB version of the RTX 3080.

AMD showed off a sneak preview of the upcoming Radeon RX 6000 series Big Navi's gaming performance in Borderlands 3, CoD: Modern Warfare, and Gears 5. The RX 6000 was paired with a Ryzen 9 5900X, but comparisons with available RTX 3080 benchmarks show that AMD is within striking distance in these titles and if priced right, may end with potential success.

AMD has revealed the much anticipated Zen 3 Vermeer lineup today led by the flagship Ryzen 9 5950X. According to AMD, Zen 3 offers 19% IPC increase, 2.8x higher performance-per-watt, and up to 26% higher gaming performance. In Zen 3, core counts remain the same from last generation, but with higher boosts, a US$50 higher price, and no bundled Wraith cooler.

Alienware confirmed pricing and availability for its three new monitors: the 25 Gaming Monitor, 27 Gaming Monitor, and 38 Gaming Monitor. The high-refresh-rate displays start at US$899.99 and go up to $1899.99.

The official PS5 teardown video has just been released, and judging by the amount of views it has already accrued, there just seems to be no slowing down of the PS5 hype train. A report from a major UK retailer has simply added to the PlayStation 5’s dominance in the perceived next-generation console competition.

Sony has officially posted a teardown of the PlayStation 5 yesterday revealing the innards of the console. Highlights of the teardown include the ability for users to add an M.2 NVMe SSD, the mainboard itself, and the cooling mechanism. The PS5 is using a 120 mm double-sided fan to drive hot air away from the massive heatsink, which interfaces with the AMD Zen 2 SoC via a liquid metal thermal interface material.

Starlit Partner, a sales subsidiary of MSI, was caught scalping MSI's variant of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 for extremely high prices. MSI has claimed that an error is the root of the issue.

Intel has officially confirmed that Rocket Lake-S will be Comet Lake-S successor for desktops and gaming PCs. The 11th gen Rocket Lake-S will offer Xe-LP graphics, support for PCIe Gen4, and is slated for a Q1 2021 availability. Intel didn't go any further into configuration specifics, but we do get to hear that Rocket Lake-S will be based on the Cypress Cove architecture, which is a backport of Willow Cove on 14 nm.

According to some AIB partners cited by Videocardz, Nvidia managed to troll AMD, as it switched the GA104 SKU with the GA102 model in the RTX 3080 GPU at the last minute, so now, apparently Big Navi (Navi 21) is only matching the RTX 3070. Other leakers believe that AMD is trolling the AIB partners misrepresenting Navi 21 as Navi 22, which has only half the CUs.

However, while the next-gen console is a reasonable purchase in some countries, in others buying one is a difficult decision for even the most loyal fan to make.

Earlier today, the developers made the big announcement: Cyberpunk 2077 has gone gold and everything is ready for next month's big release. This title is scheduled to arrive on November 19 on Windows PCs, as well as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

A few Japanese media outlets were given an opportunity to take the Sony PlayStation 5 for a short spin and their experience with the console seems to have been largely positive. The Sony PS5 versus Xbox Series X debate continues with attention turning to the available storage of the two systems. Although the PS5 ships with an 825 GB SSD, an unconfirmed report over the weekend suggests that it might only allow for 664 GB of usable storage. This compares unfavorably with the Xbox Series X.

NVIDIA has published initial performance figures for the GeForce RTX 3070, which will arrive on October 29. The Ampere card is apparently over 60% faster than the RTX 2070 in mixed applications and around 8% more powerful than the RTX 2080 Ti.

A short video clip of the alleged PlayStation 5 boot screen and user interface (UI) has surfaced that appears to involve a devkit rather than a retail model of the PS5. The video shows a black DualSense controller being used to presumably start up the console, and then the boot screen and UI eventually appear on a monitor.

French outlet Cowcotland claims that the first-gen Navi RX 5700 is no longer being manufactured, just weeks ahead of AMD’s supposed RDNA2 hard launch. Interestingly, the RX 5700 XT, RX 5600 XT, and even a number of older Polaris cards are still being manufactured, per the report.

A “naked” PlayStation 5 console has seemingly been revealed in an image recently shared on social media. NVIDIA has announced that the launch of the GeForce RTX 3070 will be postponed by two weeks to October 29. Apparently, the delay will ensure better availability than the calamitous release of the GeForce RTX 3080.

The laptop-grade RTX 3070 GPU is apparently getting 8 GB of 12 Gbps GDDR6 VRAM, but it is very likely that the lower TGP of around 120 W will limit this chip's performance, so it will not really match the performance of a desktop-grade RTX 2080 Ti. Regardless of these limitations, the RTX 3070 mobility GPU should still be a decent upgrade over the current RTX 2080 Super.

Above all, Asus achieves a shorter battery life with the Zephyrus S15's upgrade to current hardware. Despite the better CPU performance, the overall performance hardly has any noticeable effect on gaming performance.

Gigabyte has certified four RTX 3060 Ti models with the EEC, @KOMACHI_ENSAKA has discovered. The four cards will have 8 GB of VRAM and are expected to use NVIDIA's GA104-200 GPU. 4,864 CUDA cores are apparently due for the RTX 3060 Ti too, which may debut as soon as this month.

Trusted sources claim that only the 8-core Ryzen 7 5800X and 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X will hit retailers by October 20. However, around December this year, AMD also plans to release the 6-core Ryzen 5 5600X and the 16-core Ryzen 9 5950X models and price points might be slightly higher compared to the current Ryzen 3000 CPUs.

We just completed our test on the new Schenker XMG Core 15. In the budget gaming laptop, we are particularly convinced by the new Zen-2 processor, while the RTX 2060 shows some slight weakness. The PlayStation 5’s wireless controller, the DualSense, has appeared in a torn-down state in a series of images released by a custom controller manufacturer. The pictures show the DualSense controller in various stages of the teardown and also highlight the intricate design that incorporates the famous PlayStation symbols.
