Integrating a 6.9-inch LCD screen and a 5,500 mAh battery, Xiaomi's Mi Mix 3 looks like a decent upgrade over the Max 2 version. The Chinese phablet will be powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, but there will also be versions with 3/6 GB RAM and 32/128 GB storage, respectively.

NRAM is made of carbon nanotubes that are more efficient than the current technologies used in 3D XPoint and NAND Flash devices. Nantero - the company developing NRAM - claims that its technology can provide better write speeds for decreased power requirements and production costs, and the memory has high temperature tolerance (up to 800 degrees Centigrade).

Purported live images of the upcoming Honor Note 10 have surfaced, showing a device with a gigantic screen and, thankfully, no notch. The device could be launched sometime towards the end of the month.

A leaked picture of what could be the Huawei Mate 20 is doing the rounds online and apparently, the device does not sport a notched display. A sketch of the Mate 20 has also leaked revealing a dual camera setup with an LED flash in between the lenses. Further details are scarce at this point but the smartphone is expected to be powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 980.

According to new reports, Huawei has sourced AMOLED panels from Samsung for the Mate 20. Of more surprise is the fact that these panels are apparently 6.9-inch ones, which likely means a size hike for the next Huawei flagship, bringing it eerily close to tablet territory.

All those Samsung and LG fans who can't live with an ugly notched display might have a reason to celebrate once the next generation flagships come out. The reason is that these two brands are supposedly ready to use "sound-emitting displays" that eliminate the need for a front-facing earpiece.

The guys over at Mobile91 got their hands on 36-degree renders for the Note 9, and it looks like the rumors were spot on about virtually unchanged designs when compared to the Note 8. The front was already leaked by Ice Universe in May, but now we get to see the back and it it's almost the same, as well, with the small difference in the position of the fingerprint sensor.

According to multiple user reports, the patch for the Google Pixel 2 XL that was issued two days ago made this flagship device slower when waking up from the sleep mode via both the power button and the fingerprint reader. The new LG Q Stylus will be available for purchase later this month in North America and Asia, followed by other regions in the third quarter. This 6.2-inch phablet will hit the market in three variants: regular, Plus, and Alpha. The upcoming Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is expected to debut as a larger Mi A1 because it sports the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and up to 4 GB RAM/64 GB internal storage. However, its generous 5.99-inch display has a notch and a 2:1 aspect ratio, providing a resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels.

Bloomberg informs that sources familiar with Samsung's plans claim that the Note 9 is going to be officially unveiled on August 9. The phablet might not be so different from last year's model after all, but at least it is getting a SoC upgrade, improved battery and even an improved rear dual camera, according to Bloomberg's source.

The Asus ROG Phone is the most customised gaming phone to-date. It looks like Dell could work its magic and release a foldable phone before Microsoft even gets to officially announce the Surface Phone. Dell's codename "Januss" could also be among the first 5G smartphones, since it is said to be powered by Qualcomm's 7 nm Snapdragon 850 SoC. Other features include a USB-C connector and multiple cameras.

Major cities in the US and across the globe are testing 5G services throughout this year, and some areas might even get limited 5G connectivity in the second half of 2018. Tis has prompted some OEMs to pressure Qualcomm into allowing them to integrate the X50 5G modem and maybe even the upcoming Snapdragon 855 SoC in several smartphones that could launch by the end of 2018.

The rumored Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite is now official in China as the S Light Luxury. Its highlights include a 5.8-inch Infinity Display with 2,220 x 1,080 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, and a 3,000 mAh battery. The phone has no dual camera setup and can be pre-ordered for the equivalent of US$578.

Promising to bring a "new attitude" to Europe, Xiaomi is ready to enter the French market. The Chinese brand will open its first Mi Store in Paris on May 22, but more are expected to follow in other French cities over the coming months. Two days later, Xiaomi will also enter the Italian market.

OnePlus has just unveiled the OnePlus 6 device and hot on its heels comes the Marvel Avengers Limited Edition version. This variant of the new flagship phone is delivered in an Avengers-themed box that even contains an Iron Man-style protective case and a medal. The device will initially be available for the Chinese and Indian markets, priced at 4,199 yuan and 44,999 Indian rupees, respectively.

OnePlus entered the market half a decade ago with the US$300 OnePlus One, their invite-only “flagship killer.” Since then they have released increasingly more expensive phones, and the OnePlus 6 represents their biggest redesign for the last few years.
