Although Burgundy Red was not available for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ at launch, Samsung had previously provided it as a color option for the Galaxy S8. Sunrise Gold, on the other hand, is a brand-new finish that Samsung recently confirmed to arrive in select markets starting next month. However, the Sunrise Gold Samsung Galaxy S9 lineup still has not been officially confirmed for the US market.
The press images leaked by Evan Blass on Twitter earlier this week show the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ for the US market in Sunrise Gold. Although he did not mention a release date, it is certain that these handsets are targeted at the US market. The visible difference between the Samsung Galaxy S9 lineup for other markets and the units made for the US is the model name stamped on the back of the latter.
The Galaxy S9 lineup is currently available in the US in Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black. As it usually happens, the available color choices may also vary depending on the carrier.
At last, those who are waiting for the arrival of the Burgundy Red Galaxy S9 handsets stateside should not lose all hope yet. According to TechnoBuffalo, "Both colors might arrive together in the next few months." and Evan Blass could be waiting to tease the red flagships as well.
