Promising to bring a "new attitude" to Europe, Xiaomi is ready to enter the French market. The Chinese brand will open its first Mi Store in Paris on May 22, but more are expected to follow in other French cities over the coming months. Two days later, Xiaomi will also enter the Italian market.

A few weeks ago, the news about Xiaomi's first retail store in France broke out. However, there were not many details to talk about. Now, almost everything has been uncovered and the fans of this Chinese brand who happen to be in Paris next Tuesday might want to set their schedule to fit in a visit at the opening event of the first Xiaomi Mi Store in France.

Less than a day ago, Xiaomi uncovered the location of its first retail store in France - 39 Boulevard de Sébastopol, 75001 Paris. To make the opening event more attractive, the company promises "a surprise" for the first 150 visitors. Those who will not be able to attend can follow the live stream of the event on Facebook and on YouTube. The opening event of the Mi Store and the live stream will kick off on May 22, as mentioned above, at the local time of 2 PM. There is no need to convert it to your local time since YouTube does it for you.

Two days later, on May 24, Xiaomi will also enter Italy, where they will open the first local Mi Store in Milan. Returning to France, we should also add that Xiaomi plans to open more retail locations in other cities, most likely later this year. The feedback on Facebook is already looking good, Xiaomi being called "the Chinese Apple" and "the Chinese Sony" by some users who are really happy to use its products.

Xiaomi has been growing at an incredible rate in the last years, but as the Chinese and Indian markets are slowing down, Europe is the next area with a growth potential that needs to be conquered. However, it will be interesting to see the battle between Xiaomi and Huawei for the control of the old continent, since the latter has been already taking the right steps to increase its share in many local markets and competing with the Huawei P20 lineup seems like a very difficult task.
