The Xiaomi POCOPHONE handset hits FCC
Xiaomi seems to be very busy lately, and if the devices it is expected to launch in the second half of this year — such as the Mi Max 3 and Mi Mix 3 — are not enough, the Chinese brand is also preparing a whole-new family of handsets, or maybe even a sub-brand like Huawei's Honor. The upcoming device/brand is known as Xiaomi POCOPHONE for now and has just surfaced in a new FCC filing.
According to the FCC filing mentioned above, the upcoming Xiaomi POCOPHONE could be a new flagship. Although the processor it is still unknown, we know that two versions visited the United States certification authority. Both feature 6 GB of memory, while the amount of storage also seems in line with most flagships on the market nowadays: 64 GB and 128 GB.
In addition to the above, a draft showing the back of the handset also surfaced online thanks to Slashleaks. This image reveals a vertical dual camera setup on the back of the device and its dimensions: 151 x 76 mm and a 163 mm diagonal (5.94 x 2.99 in and a generous 6.4-inch diagonal).
Although the Xiaomi POCOPHONE has no official launch date yet, we might find out more about it sooner than expected. In the meantime, feel free to drop a comment about this new product name. Would you buy a handset (a massive phablet, by the looks of it) called POCOPHONE?
