The PlayStation boss Jim Ryan has been discussing the phenomenal reception of the upcoming PlayStation 5 in an interview. Pre-orders for the next-gen console in the US have gone way beyond what the PlayStation 4 could manage, and a noted analyst has suggested that over one million PS5 pre-orders may have already been made worldwide.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite has appeared in an image on packaging that was featured as part of an FCC listing. Some key details about the upcoming smartwatch were also revealed, such as its 1.4-inch HD screen, 24-hour heart-rate monitor, and built-in GPS. It’s possible the Mi Watch Lite may be rebranded as the Redmi Watch in some markets.

A PS5 SSD price tag that purportedly comes from Walmart has appeared online, and if it is accurate then the practically must-have PlayStation 5 accessory seems like a steal. Little further information can be gleaned from the tag, although US$115 for a 500 GB SSD that operates at the PS5’s next-gen standards is a bargain.
Update: The drive has been revealed to be a simple Seagate Game Drive external SSD.

NVIDIA is rushing to release an RTX 3070 Ti after all, keen to take on AMD's impending 'Big Navi' cards. The card will be based on the company's GA102 GPU and will feature a 320 W TGP, along with 10 GB of GDDR6X VRAM. 7,424 CUDAs will be present too, as will 232 Tensor cores and 58 RT cores.

Info regarding the official Navi 21 presentation tomorrow has been leaked and things are not looking good for the RTX 3080 GPUs from Nvidia. Sources close to RedGamingTech claim that the RX 6800 XT cards will show better raster performance in significantly more 1440p and 4K titles. Once again, the ray tracing performance of the AMD cards is said to lag behind, still, at least it is on par with the RTX 2080 Ti in this regard. We could expect something similar to DLSS by early 2021.

More clues about the design of the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus have turned up online, seemingly confirming past leaks for Samsung's next trio of flagship smartphones. The Galaxy S21 Plus will reputedly resemble a slightly larger version of the Galaxy S21, even more so than the Galaxy S20 Plus does to the Galaxy S20.

Although it is not official yet, Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S21 Ultra sometime in January 2021. The flagship will reportedly come with a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel clocked at 120Hz, a quad-camera array with two telephoto lenses, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. It is expected to retail at US$1,300 for the base variant with 128GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.

The CPU-Z benchmark results for the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Zen 3 are out and everything looks impressive: 11% faster than the Intel Core i9-10900K and 25% faster than the AMD Ryzen 7 3800X in single-core, as well as 10% slower than the Core i9-10900K and 17% faster than the Ryzen 7 3800XT when all cores are being used.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti's specs are all but confirmed, thanks to a new GPU-Z listing. It will feature a GA104-200 GPU, 4,864 CUDA cores, and 8GB of VRAM with a memory bandwidth of 448GB/s. NVIDIA is expected to launch the card sometime in November for around US$400.

Some evidence of Samsung's next-gen super-budget smartphones has appeared in a new tip. It concerns a phone thought to be called the Galaxy A02s, which appears to be a 3GB RAM version of the also-rumored Galaxy A02. Oddly, however, the new benchmarking leaks for both possible phones lack SoC data.

NVIDIA may be planning another raid on the upper-midrange desktop graphics card market, according to a new leak. Apparently, the green team has a third GA102-based card in development, which would sit between the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 in its Ampere product stack with 7,424 CUDA cores, GDDR6X VRAM and possibly up to 232 Tensor cores.

The alleged international prices for the Huami Amazfit GTR 2 and Amazfit GTS 2 smartwatches have been leaked. Although both watches are packed with attractive features such as blood oxygen level measurement and heart-rate monitoring, the prices listed for the Amazfit GTR 2 and GTS 2 still seem quite steep.

Renowned leaker OnLeaks has lifted the veil off OnePlus' upcoming low-cost smartphones- the OnePlus Nord N100 and Nord N10 5G. The OnePlus Nord N10 5G gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690, four rear cameras, and a 4,300mAh battery, while the Nord N100 gets a Snapdragon 460, three rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery. OnePlus is expected to launch both phones on October 26.

Apparently, AMD did not show off its flagship Navi 21 XTX version with the Ryzen 5000 CPUs earlier this month. Rumor has it that the performance metrics presented back then come from the Navi 21 SKU powering the RX 6800 XT cards and these can match the RTX 3080, but they also feature a lower price point closer to the RTX 3070.

The cancellation of these two Nvidia models that pack more than 10 GB of VRAM might allow AMD to increase its sales, since the Navi 21 SKUs are expected to get 16 GB of VRAM. Nvidia is currently stuck with terrible yields on the Samsung 8 nm nodes, and, once it switches to TSMC next year, maybe it could consider relaunching the 16 GB and 20 GB models.

The entire Huawei Mate 40 lineup has been leaked just a day before its October 22 release. The Mate 40 Pro features a triple-camera array; the Mate 40 Pro+ gets an additional telephoto lens and the Mate 40 RS a temperature sensor on top of all that. Prices are expected to start at €1,129 (US$1,340) for the Huawei Mate 40 Pro.

A company insider says that OnePlus is all set to release the OnePlus 9 a full month early. OnePlus is the second company after Samsung that is mulling on an early flagship release in 2021. One can only hope that OnePlus also launches the affordable Nord N100 and Nord 105G alongside its 2021 flagship.

After the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro comes the Tab P11, a slimmed-down version of its Pro sibling. Leaked details have confirmed not only the design of the Tab P11, but also the specifications of Lenovo's upcoming tablet.

AMD is yet to announce its challengers to the likes of the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080, but rumoured clock speeds suggest that at least one Navi 21 SKU will be capable of reaching 2.4 GHz. Xiaomi has just been granted a patent for a tablet-like device that folds down the middle to form a much thinner phone-like form with an additional display on its front. In other words, it looks and seems to function much like Samsung's first-gen premium foldable phone. Therefore, the Chinese OEM might be on the brink of moving into this category itself.

AMD's upcoming Ryzen 5000 APU lineup will be a mix of Zen 2 Lucienne (Renoir Refresh) and Zen 3 Cezanne parts probably with the intention of offering more value to OEMs and maximizing the utilization of the 7 nm node. Earlier today (October 18, 2020), the tipster @OnLeaks shared images asserted to be of the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S20. Since then, the same leaker has posted renders of this phone's Ultra counterpart. The two phones look much alike, except that the latter's rear camera hump is bigger so as to accommodate yet more sensors.

A new tip from a well-known leaker may confirm that Huawei will launch a Porsche Design version of the Mate 40 during its upcoming October 2020 online event. This "RS" edition is also now slated to rock the new rear-camera hump also recently linked to the Pro Plus variant. However, in this case, it will be joined by a ceramic finish in a 'racing' style.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is expected to debut in early 2021 and new leaks have now thrown some light on the design and measurements of the next-gen Samsung flagship phone. For one, the S21 will apparently be a tad wider than its predecessor, the Galaxy S20.

Xiaomi is believed to be one of the potential buyers for Huawei’s sub-brand Honor if such a deal is being planned. Other companies connected with the alleged sell-off include Digital China and TCL. Huawei has denied the rumor in the past but such a sale could be good for both Honor and its founder in terms of sustainability and growth.

Hints are starting to appear about a future Xiaomi smartphone that is shaping up to be a dream flagship device. Whether the phone will be the Xiaomi Mi 11, the long-awaited Mi Mix 4, or even another mysterious device is still unclear, but it appears it will sport a brand-new Snapdragon 875 SoC and a 2K display at the very least.

Samsung is not planning any great leaps forward with the Galaxy S21 series, according to Ice Universe. Instead, Samsung's next Galaxy S smartphones will be a conservative upgrade from this year's models, with no 144 Hz displays or ultra-fast charging. 3C certification documents have seemingly confirmed a 25 W charging brick for the Galaxy S21, too.

A new Micromax phone called the Micromax IN 1A has just shown up on Geekbench. It is powered by what looks like a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM, and running Android 10. The phone is likely a part of the company's upcoming IN line of low-cost smartphones, which will be released in India soon.
