Specs of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G revealed ahead of launch
Last year, OnePlus expanded its portfolio to include the mid-range segment with phones like the OnePlus Nord, OnePlus Nord N10, and OnePlus Nord N100. Those phones were launched to mostly mixed reception, and the company appears determined to do better this year—if recently revealed details of the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 5G are anything to go by.
The OnePlus Nord CE is said to be the successor to last year's OnePlus Nord N10, with "CE" being short for "Core Edition", whatever that means. The phone is expected to sport a 6.43-inch FHD+ 90 Hz AMOLED. At the top left corner will be a hole punch housing a 16 MP selfie shooter, while the bottom half of the display will play host to an optical fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood is touted to sit a Snapdragon 750G, an upgrade on the Snapdragon 690 on the Nord N10. Two configurations will be available: one with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, and another with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Camera-wise, the OnePlus Nord CE is tipped to sport a triple-lens setup at the back, comprised of a 64 MP OmniVision sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 2 MP macro sensor. As previously said, the selfie camera will be a 16 MP unit.
Other specifications include a 4500 mAh battery, and OnePlus' 30 W Warp Charge 30T. The OnePlus Nord CE is expected to be a bit more affordable than the OnePlus Nord was. That should excite fans. Pre-orders for the OnePlus Nord CE will begin on June 11.
