Asus ROG Zephyrus M16: a retailer lists what appears to be an entry-level version of the new gaming laptop
The ROG Zephyrus M16 brings some G15 esthetics and features to a larger form-factor, although it is based on Tiger Lake silicon. Asus has made the new gaming laptop official as of late, although its price or availability has not yet been pinned down. Now, a new leak may or may not offer more insight.
The Czech website Mironet now claims to Zephyrus M16s for sale, although with specs that don't match up to those mentioned by Asus in its launch material. These apparent units do apparently have 16.1-inch displays (for a 16:10 aspect ratio) and 11th-gen platforms - but they are i7-11800Hs as opposed to the single i9-11900H processors the OEM has mentioned in relation to the device thus far.
Then again, Mironet does mention 6GB of RTX 3060 graphics, which is an option in the M16 as per Asus; then again, the sales page lists 512GB of storage, whereas the OEM specifies 2TB per SKU of the laptop. Furthermore, this ROG Zephyrus variant is hyped in terms of its WQHD 165Hz display; however, the SKUs allegedly for sale in Czechia are bumped down to FHD 144Hz panels instead.
Therefore, there are alternative Zephyrus M16 configurations around that have been inadvertently revealed in advance, or this new leak is quite inaccurate in its claims for some reason. In any case, Mironet quotes a price of 38,495 Czech koruna (~US$1,844) for its alleged new products.
