The July update is now live for numerous Pixel smartphones. While the Pixel 2 series stopped receiving updates last year, the Pixel 3 series onwards is eligible for this month's update. The July update contains a few device-specific bug fixes and addresses numerous security vulnerabilities with Google's handsets.

The release date for Google's next mid-range handset has leaked, and it will be before Android 12 is expected to arrive. The Pixel 5a should, therefore, launch with Android 11.
