Some Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro handsets appear to be shipping with display problems
The Pixel 6 series has started arriving on people's doorsteps, but talk of display issues is already mounting up. So far, we have come across three different issues, which is not ideal a day after units shipped. The problems are unexplained so far, although it appears that one is affecting more units than others.
The first issue is the most prevalent, which u/HairyPorter23 has reproduced in the video below. Reportedly, Pixel 6 handsets flicker if their power buttons are pressed when they are switched off. While this does not prevent people from using their devices normally, it is abnormal behaviour. Some people speculate that the issue could be as a result of static discharge, which has others worried about further problems down the line.

Secondly, @MarkSchrammVR reports that his Pixel 6 Pro shipped with a double punch-hole. Apparently, testing revealed that the display had been hole punched twice, for some reason. Unsurprisingly, @MarkSchrammVR promptly replaced the device for one that does not have two hole punches.
Finally, other Pixel 6 series units are suffering from a green tint, as shown in the photo embedded above. Green tints are common for AMOLED and OLED displays, but few are as strong as the one shown by u/TheAveragePxtseryu. For the time being, the display flicking issue seems the most commonly occurring of the three. We will update this article if Google comments on the matter.
