A GitHub page for the Intel Media Driver for Video Acceleration API (VAAPI) has surfaced detailing the multimedia capabilities of Intel iGPUs including the Xe DG1 in Tiger Lake. From the video encode-decode support matrix, we get to see that Xe DG1 will support native 12-bit HEVC encode-decode along with decode support for 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 chroma sub-sampling, and VP9 12-bit and 12-bit 4:4:4 decode.

3DMark 11 scores were recently leaked for the Ryzen 7 4700U. The 15W mobile part posted 5446 on the graphics test, substantially higher than Nvidia's discrete GeForce MX250. It also posted a physics score on par with a desktop system equipped with the 65W i7-6700.

Rumour - Updated | Big Navi GPUs to feature at least 24 GB of HBM2e VRAM, 5,120 shading units and a 2,048 GB/s memory bandwidth

Hot on the heels of leaked Ampere GPU specifications comes information about what could be the Radeon RX 5950 XT. Possibly part of the RX 6000 series instead, the leaked information states that the RDNA 2 GPU will feature 24 GB of HBM2e VRAM and 5,120 shading units. The D32310/15 will apparently include 80 CUs and will operate on a memory bandwidth of 2,048 GB/s, too.

OnePlus is slated to release its new trio of smartphones soon, rumoured to be the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 Lite. In the year 2020, Lenovo is changing the naming of its mainstream ThinkPad laptop series. The three new T series ThinkPads that follow the new system are called ThinkPad T14, ThinkPad T14s and ThinkPad T15. All of them feature Intel Comet Lake CPUs and ThinkPad T14 & T14s will also be available with AMD Ryzen Pro 4000.

Lenovo redesigns its affordable enterprise series, the ThinkPad L series. The new 2020 models ThinkPad L14 and ThinkPad L15 are therefore completely revamped compared to their predecessors. They also are the first affordable enterprise models from Lenovo with the Ryzen Pro 4000 CPUs.

Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Yoga introduces OLED screen, regular X13 uses AMD Ryzen Pro 4000

Two new X series ThinkPads are introduced today. The convertible Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Yoga will be available with an 4K UHD OLED screen, while the regular, non-convertible ThinkPad X13 introduces AMD Ryzen Pro 4000 to the ThinkPad X series.

Rumour | Leaked iPad Pro 2020 case confirms iPhone 11 camera design

Apple may be on the verge of unleashing a new US$399 iPhone, but it is rumoured to be putting the final touches to an iPad Pro refresh too. Now, new cases for the possibly March-bound tablets have appeared online, which confirm that Apple will switch to a triple rear-facing camera array for this year's models.
