According to images allegedly derived from the Chinese regulator TENAA, the Red Magic 5G will be a considerable departure from the rest of its series in terms of rear panel design. Its new putative certification may also reveal the size its 144Hz display will be, as well as how big its battery will be.

A new leak suggests that the next generation of the Red Magic gaming-phone series by Nubia will be here soon, and much more besides. Images allegedly captured from this device's alleged TENAA certification show that it will be quite an evolution from the current generation, the 3s, in terms of looks.

This new model, the Red Magic 5G, will feature transitions between red and blue in angular cut-outs, one of which bears the number 05. This makes sense, as the phone is technically the 5th of its name, counting the aforementioned 3s. The 5G's edges are also photographed, which show metallic shades more in keeping with the rest of the series' esthetics.

The rear panel image also indicates that the upcoming flagship-grade phone will have triple cameras, which is a considerable step up in a brand that has not strayed far from single main shooters up till now. The new information also asserts that the Red Magic 5G's display, which is also confirmed to have a 144Hz refresh rate, will be 6.65 inches in size. Finally, its battery, which may charge at a rate of up to 80 watts (W), may be 4400mAh in capacity.
