12GB camo version of the Red Magic 3 goes on sale internationally
Even though ASUS and Razer have yet to release the next generation of their gaming phones, this segment of the mobile device market is already well served this year with the Red Magic 3. It features an innovative active-cooling fan that may give an edge while playing Android titles. If this device had one drawback, it is that the 12GB RAM version promised at its launch has not been widely available outside China.
However, Nubia has addressed this, in that it now stocks this variant on its own international web-store. The new version of the phone does indeed now match other brands such as Xiaomi's Black Shark in offering what may be the upper limit of specs in 2019. This SKU also exhibits what the OEM calls a "camo" finish, which is executed in rather fractal black and gray, and matches its line's general esthetics well.
This 12GB version of the latest Nubia gaming phone also has 256GB of internal storage, which makes it comparable to the most expensive OnePlus 7 Pro variant. Like this phone, it also has a 90-hertz display; however, such a Red Magic 3 unit would set the buyer back US$599, whereas a 12GB 7 Pro costs $749 at present.
Admittedly, this phone also has a QHD screen, whereas the Red Magic 3 makes do with FHD+. Then again, the Nubia phone also has RGB and capacitive shoulder buttons. Red Magic is also offering 20% off its accessories with every 12GB unit purchased (correct at time of writing).
