Nubia secured the title of first to a 144Hz display refresh rate in a phone with the latest addition to its Red Magic gaming phone series. This device also features its brand's actual-spinning-fan motif and the Snapdragon 865, which (of course), also makes it 5G.
Its rear-panel design also got an update: it is picked out in triangular accents that help combine some occasionally very contrasting shades on the same phone. This, for example, results in the...uh...striking Pulse colorway for the 12GB RAM variant.
It also yields a red-and-yellow SKU with 8GB of RAM and 128GB. This Iron Man Hot Rod option has now become available for pre-order via Red Magic's international webstore. It, like its Eclipse Black alternative, costs US$579 on this platform.
Nubia has augmented this event with a pledge to donate 1% of its proceeds to the charity Child's Play. This organization exists to provide support to hospital-bound minors through the medium of gaming. It is also running a contest by which customers who pre-order the device can win one of its matching accessories. This giveaway runs until June 8, 2020, which is also when shipping for the new Red Magic 5G SKU should begin.
