Nubia Red Magic 3S 90 Hz smartphone gets new Eclipse Black color for $480
Unveiled in September, the Nubia Red Magic 3S started shipping just last month in Mecha Silver and Cyber Shade color options for a starting price of $480. The smartphone is notable for offering very high specifications relative to the mid-range starting price including a 90 Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, large 6.65-inch FHD+ display, and an internal fan to combat throttling and improve gaming performance. Overall features are quite similar to the competing Asus ROG Phone which retails for almost twice the price.
To keep sales going strong, Nubia has just introduced a third color option called Eclipse Black as shown by the product shots below. This color comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.0 storage in contrast to the 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage of the Cyber Shade option. Availability is as follows:
Eclipse Black & Mecha Silver (8GB + 128 GB):
- EUR: €479
- USD: $479
- GBP: £419
Cyber Shade (12GB + 256 GB):
- EUR: €599
- USD: $599
- GBP: £529
Countries and Regions
- North America: USA, Canada
- Europe: EU, UK
- Rest of the World: Australia, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Macao
The value proposition is tempting especially since the smartphone supports 4G LTE in the United States. See our review on the original Red Magic 3 here to learn more about the series.
