Qualcomm announces the acquisition of chip start-up NUVIA

Qualcomm has revealed that it has bought the CPU-design team NUVIA for approximately US$1.4 billion. The OEM asserts that the move will make it more competitive in the future, and will enhance the development of Snapdragon mobile chipsets, as well as platforms for AI-powered vehicles, XR and infrastructure. Its hardware partners, including Microsoft and Samsung, have welcomed the acquisition.

Realme V15 5G launched: Dimensity 800U-powered smartphone aimed straight at the Redmi Note 9 5G

Realme has now launched its newest device, the Realme V15 5G, in China. The Realme V15 5G offers an AMOLED display and a MediaTek Dimensity 800U under the hood, with the entire package bearing a resemblance to the Redmi Note 9 5G that was launched last month.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau promises camera improvements across the board starting with the OnePlus 9 series

In an interview with news outlet MyDrivers, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has stated that the company has shifted its research and development efforts towards camera improvements. Lau aims to bring OnePlus' cameras on par with the likes of Huawei. Hence, the company is working closely with Leica.
