A new leak suggests that the upcoming Nintendo Switch Pro could be powered by a GPU based on Nvidia's newest Lovelace architecture. The SoC could be a heavily watered-down version of the Nvidia Orin automotive chipset launched in 2019.

LG has added a feature called Fine Tune Dark Areas to over 70 TVs as it aims to reduce raised black levels, especially on OLED panels. LG intends people to use the feature when using VRR on an enabled PC or games console.

LG added a few new sliders that are meant to fix the near-black gamma problems reported on last year's models. Thus, we have the Black Stabiliser and Fine Tune Dark Areas sliders that can deal with the elevated black, but we also see features like White Stabiliser for bright highlight details in HDR and a Prevent Input Delay toggle that helps reduce input lag with 60 Hz signals.

Sony is giving away 11 games as part of its latest Play at Home campaign. The highlights include Horizon Zero Dawn and Ratchet & Clank, along with the likes of Astro Bot. The second Doom Eternal DLC, The Ancient Gods Part 2, will be available for download starting March 18 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Google Stadia. Much like its predecessor, it will add new gameplay elements such as monsters and weapons. Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 2 also concludes the Doom Slayer's storyline introduced in Doom 2016.

Dying Light 2 developer Techland recent promised to deliver an update on the troubled game's progress on March 17th. This could shed light into the status of the game, what it looks like now, and when it'll actually ship.

Microsoft snapping up Sega is the rumor that will never go away, but it now seems that Konami could also be in the sights of the parent company of the Xbox Game Studios. Microsoft could do with a boost in Japan as recent sales figures reported 10 Xbox One consoles sold compared to 78,134 Nintendo Switch units.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be pleased to know that they will soon be able to play Bethesda classics such as Fallout 4, Skyrim, and Doom on the platform starting on March 12. A total of 20 games have been added to the platform, some of which will be available on PC, console and cloud.

Xbox insider Shpeshal Ed says that several Bethesda games will be available on Xbox Game Pass. We're probably looking at UPlay+ integration with Microsoft's subscription services, which is expected to cost US$5 extra. This is expected to happen by the end of 2021.

NateDrake on the ResetEra forums claims that the DLSS-compatible Switch may differ from the upcoming Switch Pro with OLED screen and 4K support, and, due to the ongoing chip shortages, the DLSS version could end up pushed back to 2022. We should be seeing a new Nvidia SoC, though, and the DLSS hardware features will be supported on the handheld SoC rather than the dock SoC.

Denuvo announced that its popular Denuvo Anti-Cheat program is now on the PlayStation 5. Several PS5 launch titles already use it, added the company, although it didn't specify which ones. Denuvo also adds that Anti-Cheat will not affect the performance of any games that use it.

A now-deleted Bethesda Store listing for DOOM Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 2 has given us a rough idea about the game's setting, weapons and aesthetics. It will feature a new weapon called the Sentinel Hammer, and at least five new enemy types. Additional DOOM Eternal DLC seems unlikely, as The Ancient Gods Part 2 is expected to end the game' storyline.

The AYA NEO is a 7-inch handheld games console powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 4500U APU. The device also has 16 GB of RAM and up to a 1 TB SSD. The AYA NEO can be ordered on Indiegogo, where it has already received over US$1,300,000 from backers.

AYA appears to have addressed its production material shortfall, as the company has announced that it will be bringing its AYA NEO Founders Edition to Indiegogo today. The crowdfunding campaign will start at US$699 for Super Early Bird backers, of which there will only be 42. Other backers must pay at least US$789, with prices rising to US$869 for the non-standard model.

Hardcore Diablo 2 enthusiasts will be pleased to know that they can carry forward their progress to Diablo 2: Resurrected. Vicarious Vision's Matthew Cederquis confirmed that older Diablo 2 save files would work with the newer version. This also tells that Diablo 2: Resurrected will come with no new gameplay mechanics.

The rumored Nintendo Switch upgrade looks like it might finally arrive later this year. According to Bloomberg, the new model will bring an upgraded 7-inch OLED display and support for 4K gaming.

Bethesda and id Software have ported Doom 3 to the PS VR. The game will feature newer textures, VR friendly combat/movement, and include The Lost Mission and Resurrection of Evil campaigns. Doom 3 VR Edition will be available for purchase starting March 29.

The AYA NEO's crowdfunding campaign has been postponed once again, in another blow for those who hoped to secure the handheld games console. Unfortunately, the campaign has been delayed indefinitely this time.

A trailer and gameplay snippets recently leaked for From Software's upcoming Elden Ring. While the quality of the video isn't particularly great, the trailer showcases a Dark Souls-esque environment and combat, but on a far larger scale than we've seen before, with glimpses of a wide open world.

All is not well at CDPR, with the company having announced a delay to the release of Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.2. Originally due before the end of February, the second patch for the maligned game will now arrive in the 'second half of March' at the earliest. CDPR has blamed its recent hack and the scope of Patch 1.2 for its postponement.

Sony is reportedly going to activate the PS5’s SSD expansion slot at some point this summer, allowing owners to store more games onto an additional drive. At the same time, the firmware update for the PlayStation 5 will also enable higher speeds for the cooling fan to help deal with the extra heat brought by potentially pricey third-party SSDs.

The PlayStation 5 has already entered the top 30 list of the world’s best-selling consoles in barely three months since launch, as well as amassing over one million members on a popular subreddit. Sales figures should climb even higher by the second half of the year as PS5 production has started “ramping up steadily”.
