Deal | Costco confirms launch day Nintendo Switch 2 price and discounts on games and Pro Controller

Most gamers are content with a successful Switch 2 pre-order, regardless of cost. However, Costco is one of the few retailers offering discounts on Switch 2 games, accessories, and the console itself. Wario64 on social media has confirmed release date pricing for Nintendo's handheld. Buyers must be Costco members to take advantage of the launch-day deals.

While the sales aren't dramatic, buyers can save money on the Mario Kart World Bundle with Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The 12 months of service include the Expansion Pack, providing access to an expanding digital library. Nintendo recently announced new GameCube and Game Boy classics to stream. Normally, the subscription costs $49.99, but the Costco package with the handheld is $524.99. That's a savings of $25 compared to the typical Switch 2 price for the bundle.

In response to tariffs, Nintendo decided to raise the prices of accessories rather than consoles. Gamers soon discovered that the new wireless Pro Controller was $84.99. Fortunately, Costco plans to sell the accessory for $74.99 on the June 5th Switch 2 release date. The Switch 2 Pro Controller features faster charging and two customizable rear buttons.

New Nintendo Switch 2 games are difficult to find on sale. Donkey Kong Bananza won't be out until July 17th, but gamers can reserve a physical copy for $62.99. Expected to show the potential of Switch 2 specs, players can smash their way through detailed environments. The regularly priced $69.99 3D platformer is the only Switch 2 item available for Costco members to pre-order now.

Costco likely won't sell the in-store only Mario Kart World Bundle and Pro Controller until June 5th. Opening times and quantities are unclear, but some leaks suggest locations will have a generous number of consoles. The membership requirement may also make it easier to find a handheld.
