AMD pits its Radeon RX 5500 against Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1650 in leaked sales guide benchmarks

A sales guide for the AMD Radeon RX 5500 Graphics has been posted online, revealing some performance details about the upcoming graphics card. The RX 5500 is listed in numerous triple-A gaming benchmarks challenging the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 card, and unsurprisingly the AMD product thrashes the GTX 1650 in every test.

MSI blunder confirms existence of incredible 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X with 64 cores and 128 threads of processing power

A promo video from MSI has seemingly shown off AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 3990X by accident. The clip was focusing on the manufacturer’s Creator TRX40 board that is capable of supporting the new 3rd Gen Threadrippers. However, a system clue has apparently given away the fact that it was not a Threadripper 3960X or 3970X behind the scenes.

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X beats pricier Intel Core i9-10980XE and Core i9-9980XE in Geekbench

The AMD Ryzen 9 3950X has been spotted in Geekbench 4 and Geekbench 5, where it handily beat the Intel Core i9-10980XE and Core i9-9980XE, respectively. Considering the 3950X has beat these same CPUs in other benchmarks, it's likely that AMD's latest HEDT monster is more than capable of beating Intel's HEDT offerings.

Full steam ahead as AMD reveals 24-core and 32-core Ryzen Threadrippers, the 16-core Ryzen 9 3950X desktop processor, and the cheap and cheerful Athlon 3000G

It’s been a busy couple of days for AMD as the company has revealed four new products to its processor lineup. The red team has covered bases all the way from extremely affordable to high-end performance with its latest additions, which consist of two new Ryzen Threadripper chips, the “world’s most powerful 16-core desktop processor”, and a Vega 3-brandishing Athlon 3000G.

78% Acer Aspire 5 A515-43-R057 Laptop Review: A super price for an AMD laptop, but with a hefty shortcoming

An affordable, yet underwhelming Zen+ laptop. Acer's latest budget laptop sounds excellent on paper. The Aspire 5 A515-43-R057 retails for around €500 (~$554) and comes with a Zen+ APU, a 1 TB SSD and 8 GB of RAM. However, not all is at it seems with our test device, as our review below will reveal.

Acer Swift 3 SF314-41: Acer's latest 14-inch laptop deserves a better display

Acer's stylish 14-inch subnotebook has a slim metal chassis, a Ryzen 5 APU and dual-channel RAM, which should all combine to deliver a decent device. The Swift 3 SF314-41 has an NVMe SSD and great battery life too, but two areas hold Acer's latest subnotebook back from being a real contender.

AMD moves on from 2019 as Zen 3, PS5, Scarlett, Samsung, and 7nm mobile await 2020

It can be easily argued that 2019 has been a standout year for AMD. Zen 2 Ryzen 3000 desktop processors have been shaking up benchmarks all over the place and the long-awaited Radeon RX 5000 series (“Navi”) has introduced RDNA architecture to the world. But AMD’s respected CEO, Lisa Su, understandably believes 2020 is going to be grander.

MSI Alpha 15 Hands-On Gaming Laptop Review: Ryzen and Navi instead of Intel and NVIDIA

A game-changer? AMD made its comeback into the CPU business with its Ryzen series not only on desktops but also on laptops. The company made a similar foray into the GPU market with its Navi desktop cards earlier this year, a move that it is trying to replicate on laptops with its Navi 14 GPUs. NVIDIA has dominated the upper midrange of laptop GPUs for a while, but AMD is looking to change that, offering consumers more choice in the process. The Ultimate Ryzen 5 3580U vs. Ryzen 3500U and 3700U CineBench Comparison: Almost All Alike

Microsoft's semi-custom approach to Ryzen isn't really any better than the best Ryzen 5 3500U or Ryzen 7 3700U laptop you can buy in terms of performance. It's certainly good and comparable to the Core i7-1065G7 in some respects, but benchmarks for the Ryzen 5 3580U show it to be nothing special.

New reports show increased AMD market shares in Europe, Intel puts on a brave face and shows record earnings in Q3 2019

Intel might think it can get away with an optimistic Q3 2019 earnings report, but AMD's rising market shares paint a different picture. Intel's ongoing CPU shortages and the difficulties encountered with the 10 nm jump are allowing AMD to relentlessly accrue market shares in the desktop, laptop and server markets.

Opinion | Most OEMs treat AMD CPUs like second-class citizens when it comes to laptops. Now is the time for change

AMD accidentally leaks the Ryzen 7 3750X CPU

Since the 3700X and 3800X 8-core CPUs are already available, the launch of the 3750X for retail channels might not happen at all. The specs would have to be too similar to the 3800X and a price point between US$330 and US$400 would not really be that justified. AMD may consider launching the 3750X model for OEMs, however.

Atari VCS console (Ataribox) lead architect Rob Wyatt resigns from project, claims non-payment for six months
