Eluktronics announces its new Ryzen 7 4800H-based 15- and 17-inch notebooks
Eluktronics has shared images of its new 15- and 17-inch notebooks, which, going by this image and their description, will ship with chassis types that will be familiar to fans of this brand. The brand is adamant that this design makes sure of "proper thermals" and perma-clear ventilation.
However, these models distinguish themselves from their possible predecessors with Ryzen 7 4800H APUs. They are joined by "FULL performance" NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPUs in the Matrix RP-15 and RP-17. These PCs are also slated to have 144Hz panels that are also "color accurate" (although testing in review may be the proof of that).
Like their Comet Lake-powered counterparts, the Max series, these specs will have 6GB and FHD flavors respectively. However, these older laptops also have the option of RTX 2070 Super (full) and 2080 Super (Max-Q) graphics.
The new Ryzen 7 offerings are now listed on Eluktronics' website, where both the 15- and 17-inch variants start at US$1249.95 for a 16GB RAM SKU with 512GB of SSD storage. However, they are not currently projected to start shipping until Juiy 1, 2020.
Of course, Schenker sells its own version of the Matrix RP-15: the new XMG Core 15 (AMD). However, speccing it up to approximately match the Eluktronics alternative costs €1419 (~US$1535) at the least. Then again, its base model, which has 4GB of GTX 1650 Ti graphics and 8GB of RAM, starts for as low as €1110 (~$1201).
