Eluktronics "Covert Gamer" laptops will offer Comet Lake-H CPUs, GeForce Super GPUs, and a logo-free outer lid
Clevo and Tongfang will be upgrading their existing families of Coffee Lake-H and GeForce laptops to Comet Lake-H and GeForce Super, respectively, for Q2 2020. Consequently, resellers like Eluktronics, Eurocom, and Schenker will be launching their respective models in the coming weeks as well.
Eluktronics is currently ahead of the curve with their refreshed 15.6-inch Mech-15 G3, 15.6-inch Max-15, and 17.3-inch Max-17 laptops all equipped with the Core i7-10875H CPU and up to the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q. The Max-15 and Max-17 in particular will be some of the lightest gaming laptops in the market with a GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q option.
Interestingly, the laptops will be one of the very few in their category to use the non-Max-Q GeForce RTX 2070 Super variant. Comparisons between it and the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q should bring intriguing performance-per-dollar results.
By default, all models will have no logo on the outer lid which was apparently a huge request from gamers according to Eluktronics. A free and removable dbrand skin will be included in each retail box instead should users want to show off the Eluktronics logo on the outer lid. The logo will still appear onscreen upon booting up the system.
Eluktronics says prices will be revealed by next week when pre-orders are expected to begin.
