Performance numbers of the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H are now available via an early review of an Acer Nitro 5 laptop. The initial figures show some gains for the 6 nm Ryzen 7 6800H over Cezanne Ryzen 9 5900HX, but Intel Alder Lake-H may have the edge in raw performance until Phoenix-H or Raphael-H hit the market.

Reportedly, AMD is targeting a spring release for the RX 6500, a graphics card that will rival the lowly RX 6400. By contrast, the company is tipped to release four mid-cycle refreshes of its more powerful RDNA 2 cards this summer, including the RX 6950 XT.

AMD expects record 2022 revenue based on the launch of its first Ryzen 6000 systems in February, as well as the appearance of its next-gen 5nm Ryzen 7000 series processors in the second half of the year. The Ryzen 9 5900HX is leaving its mark not only on high-performance laptops, but also on upcoming high-performance mini PCs as well. The lesser-known Beelink GTR5 will be one of the fastest NUC-sized mini PCs in terms of processor performance when it becomes available later this quarter.

The refreshed models include Z TRIO and TRIO PLUS variants for the AMD Radeon RX 6800, 6800 XT and 6900 XT SKUs. The Z TRIO lineup has slightly higher clocks for the XT SKUs, while the TRIO PLUS one mostly features the same clocks with one exception. Both lineups get redesigned backplates similar to the ones on the X TRIO 6900 XT.

Twitter user BISO BISO has managed to push his Intel Core i9-12900K and AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT to score 62,389 in the 3D Mark Fire Strike benchmark, beating legendary overclocker Kingpin's score of 61,206. The Alder Lake processor was pushed to 7 GHz and the RDNA2 graphics card to 3.1 GHz.

Apple has been placed at #1 in a newly-released list of 500 brands ranked by "value" in 2022. The Cupertino giant has retained this position due to its perception as a company that releases high-end, reliable and easily recognizable products on a regular basis. Of course, being a tech company has not hurt in this respect, either.

The new Alder Lake mobile chip, the Intel Core i9-12900HK, has made its first appearance on UserBenchmark, and it’s unsurprisingly impressive. The i9-12900HK was even able to just outbench the Zen 3 Ryzen 9 5950X, which is a desktop chip. But it shouldn’t be too long before AMD’s Zen 4-based Ryzen 7000 series shakes things up some more.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600H has scored 1,472 and 8,054 on Geekbench's single and multi-core tests, respectively. It manages to keep up with the Alder Lake-based Intel Core i5-12500H in the multi-core test but falls flat in the single-core part and offers a remarkable performance uplift over the AMD Ryzen 5 3600H.

The Rembrandt-based AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX was benchmarked on Geekbench, where it managed single-core scores of 1,593/1,616 and multi-core scores of 10,151/9,939. While it is faster than its previous-generation counterpart, it cannot hold up against the Alder Lake-based Intel Core i9-12900HK.

AMD's Radeon Pro Twitter account has revealed the release date of a new Radeon Pro workstation GPU. The card is set to be announced on January 19, 2022. Unfortunately, we don't know the exact specifications of the GPU except that it has a Navi 24 chip inside.

PowerColor has released the Radeon RX 6500 XT ITX, a graphics card intended for Mini-ITX systems. The Radeon RX 6500 XT ITX has a 90 mm fan and measures just 165 mm across. AMD based the Radeon RX 6500 XT on a Navi 24 GPU with 1,024 Stream Processors.

With a starting price of just US$269 (barebone version) and an attractive US$429 deal available for the 16/512 GB version, the Ryzen 5 3550H-powered MINISFORUM UM350 will start shipping before the end of February. This mini PC comes with Windows 10 Pro preinstalled, except for the barebone version.

The release of the Samsung Exynos 2200 has seemingly been postponed. The new SoC with AMD RDNA 2 GPU was supposed to have been officially launched on January 11. AMD revealed the RX 6500 XT as a US$199 graphics card at CES 2022. ASUS has priced its custom cards way higher in the Eurozone, where the card will start at €299, equivalent to US$275 discounting VAT. Another RX 6500 XT card will sell for €334 though, putting the graphics card at over US$300.

AMD introduced the RX 6500 XT at CES 2022 targeting budget 1080p gamers, but the use of just 4 GB GDDR6 VRAM has come into question. AMD's Frank Azor clarified that the use of 4 GB VRAM was to deter cryptocurrency miners from subjecting gamers to an availability disadvantage. The PN64 can be equipped with Alder Lake-P processors up to an i7-1280P or Alder Lake-H ones up to an i7-12700H coupled with DDR5-4800 RAM. No Ryzen 6000 processors for the AMD models this year, but the Ryzen 5000H APUs should still make for a decent upgrade over last year's Lucienne Ryzen 5000U options.

ASRock has announced the DeskMeet, a mini-PC that will be available with AMD and Intel processors. The DeskMeet comes with stacks of ports too, plus four DDR4 DIMM slots for up to 128 GB of RAM. ASRock will offer the DeskMeet with AMD X300 and Intel B660 chipsets.

Those looking to get their hands on an AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT may have to fork out as much as EUR 299 (US$338), at least in France, which is well over AMD's asking price of US$199. It is worth noting that the listing in question includes local taxes.
