Samsung and TSMC are almost on equal footing when it comes to 5 nm production nodes, yet the Taiwanese foundries are still ahead as far as orders are concerned. Still, the Korean giant intends to pull ahead with the next die shrink, as its 3 nm GAAFET technique is ready to be tested out and could be released in 2021, while TSMC's 3 nm nodes would only come online in 2022.

Opinion: Foldable makers should be applauded for taking a risk, not torn down

It has been surprising to read a number of major tech blogs bashing the Galaxy Fold and foldable devices in general. The danger is, however, that such criticism isn't likely to go unnoticed with the risk that smartphone makers may shy away from the category. Even if some of the criticism is fair, let's hope it doesn't scare OEM's from taking a risk on releasing potentially game changing devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S11+ will feature a 108 MP camera but it will not be the same one Xiaomi used on the Mi Note 10. Apparently, one major difference between the two is the fact that the sensor on the S11+ will use 9-in-1 pixel merging technology to achieve a 2.4µm pixel size, making it the most powerful sensor in the smartphone industry.
