Gigabyte dismisses 'AORUS RTX 2070 Ti' rumor as "a typo"

Gigabyte had released a promotional Halloween-season banner including the words "AORUS RTX 2070 Ti/2070 Graphics card". This was enough for some to run with the rumor that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 was getting its own Ti variant. However, Gigabyte has taken to Reddit to squash this speculation once and for all.

The ThinkPad X1 Extreme with the matte 1080p screen.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme 4K vs. FHD

We already reviewed Lenovo's new ThinkPad X1 Extreme with the optional 4K HDR screen. It is a good screen, but there are some drawbacks as well, so we were eager to find out how the standard 1080p display of the entry-level SKU performs. We already have a test unit and want to compare the basic measurements of the two models ahead of the complete review.

Nvidia RTX 2070 complete review leaks before NDA lift

HardOCP released the RTX 2070 review 2 full days before the NDA lift and it looks like last week's leaks are now confirmed. The factory overclocked RTX 2070 models are slightly faster than the GTX 1080, with the stock RTX 2070 most likely on par with the previous gen Pascal GPUs. On the other hand, the price for the overclocked RTX 2070 models might be a bit too spicy.

GPU-Z updated with the ability to detect faked NVIDIA cards

The GPU market is often rife with counterfeit cards. These products are often sold as having more memory than they actually do, or as having newer NVIDIA chips that are in fact reflashed older ones - or both. TechPowerUp has upgraded its diagnostics app GPU-Z in order to detect these techniques and report affected cards as fakes.

Nvidia's RTX 2070 slightly faster than the GTX 1080 in latest leaked 3DMark Time Spy test

The high-end Turing GPUs do not seem to be a great upgrade choice for the time being, but what about the upper-mid-range RTX 2070 model? According to the latest leaked Time Spy results, the RTX 2070 GPU is indeed faster than the GTX 1080, however, the tested sample was already factory-overclocked, so the actual performance difference between a stock RTX 2070 and a stock GTX 1080 might be negligible.

Windows 10 October 2018 Update comes with native DirectX Raytracing support

Microsoft has begun seeding the Windows 10 October 2018 Update in a staggered manner and one of the important aspects of this update is that it comes with the latest version of DirectX 12 that supports DirectX Raytracing (DXR) thereby, enabling the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX cards to perform their best in raytracing-enabled games. What this also means is that cards from other companies such as AMD will also be able to take advantage of this new API.

MSI PS42 8RB Prestige (i7-8550U, GeForce MX150) Laptop Review

80% MSI PS42 8RB Prestige (i7-8550U, GeForce MX150) Laptop Review

The result is a unique system that is on par with the XPS 13 in a few ways but with a longer list of flaws.
Intel Core i7-8550U, NVIDIA GeForce MX150, 14", 1.2 kg
