Lenovo gets serious about gaming, launches new Legion online store for PC games
While Lenovo has been offering gaming laptops since at least 2014 with the Y40, it wasn't until the manufacturer created the Legion brand that its gaming arm would begin to really take off. Lenovo has been pouring more resources into gaming products ever since with Legion-branded gaming mice, keyboards, headphones, and the recently released Legion C530 mini PC. To supplement the hardware, Lenovo will be launching a new online store dedicated to PC titles and software later this month just in time for the Holiday shopping season.
Called the Legion Game Store, the site will offer over 200 PC games when it launches ranging from small indie titles like Dead Cells to triple-A titles like Battlefield V. Lenovo is also promising special discounts as the OEM will be partnering with publishers for exclusive deals and closed betas to draw in more players.
Lenovo owners will be able to access the Legion Game Store through the Lenovo Vantage software that comes pre-loaded with most Lenovo PCs and laptops. The manufacturer says this will reduce clutter since players will not need to install any separate software to access the new online shop.
The store will launch on November 26, 2018 as http://www.gamestore.lenovo.com/.
