Looking at the data, Apple has increased the IPC of their chips by an astounding 129%, a figure that is much larger than Cupertino's x86 competitors.

The Intel Arrow Lake CPUs appear to be beastly multi-core chips as an entry in the SiSoftware database for the Core Ultra 7 265K shows a better performance score than the Ryzen 9 9950X. This is an interesting development since the Core Ultra 7 265K lacks hyperthreading.

AnTuTu has revealed the top-performing flagship Android phones from August. Like the previous ranking, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version has dominated the list. The standard variant of the SoC has also put up a good fight against the Dimensity 9300+ and 9300.

Genshin Impact is one of the demanding games that landed on phones, making it a great tool to benchmark the gaming performance of smartphones. As for the Tensor G4 that launched with the new Google Pixel 9 series, it seems the game isn't optimized for the SoC yet.

While multiple Ryzen AI 300 series laptops are available, mini PCs featuring the new Zen 5 chips are yet to be announced. ETA Prime happened to get an early look at a gaming mini PC with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, and the Radeon 890M iGPU performed relatively well in AAA games.

The Google Pixel 9 lineup launched with a new SoC, the Tensor G4. Like the predecessors, it can't quite match the flagship Snapdragon and Dimensity chips in benchmarks, but Google says that it wasn't designed to excel in performance benchmarks to begin with.

The Realme 13 5G is currently thought to launch as a late-year refresh of its ~$200 predecessor. On the other hand, it looks like the newer model might have the edge after all with the faster processor of the two. It is also now tipped to launch with Android 14 out of the box.
