Several iPad users are complaining about accelerated battery drain when the tablet is paired with the keyboard. One user lost nearly 25% battery with just two hours of continuous keyboard use. The problem appears to be software agnostic as it persists on the beta and stable version of iPadOS.

Amazon launches new Fire HD 8

Amazon has updated the Fire HD 8 with a faster CPU and a bit more RAM. The tablet starts at US$90 for a model with 2 GB of RAM and $110 for a model with 3 GB of RAM. Both variants use a quad-core MediaTek MT8168 at 2 GHz and the same 1280x800 IPS display as prior Fire HD 8 tablets.
