Intel is offering deeper insights into the Lunar Lake architecture at Computex 2024. Lunar Lake will be a tiled 3D packaged design for laptops with a focus on per-per-Watt and AI performance. Lunar Lake marks the arrival of Lion Cove and Skymont cores, Xe2-LPG Battlemage iGPU, and a 47 TOPS NPU along with a host of other platform enhancements.

MSI Claw to receive Intel Lunar Lake upgrades with Thunderbolt 4 and new larger display

According to new reports, MSI has turned its attention to a second-generation Claw gaming handheld, less than six months after releasing its inaugural model. Allegedly arriving as the MSI Claw 8 AI Plus, the device will sport a larger display and Intel Lunar Lake processors, among other changes from the current MSI Claw A1M.

First Intel Lunar Lake handheld consoles may be showcased at Computex in just a few weeks

Details about Weibu's GP10 handheld console powered by an unspecified Intel Lunar Lake processor were leaked on the official Computex site. Looks like we could see an early preview of the upcoming Core Ultra 200V CPUs at Computex this June, although these chips will likely launch this fall.

An Intel Lunar Lake Core Ultra 200V APU inside an HP Spectre x360 convertible laptop has been benchmarked at the SiSoftware Sandra database. The result shows the upcoming Battlemage-based Xe2-LPG iGPU in a very positive light as it is not only faster but also appears to use less power than competing Meteor Lake offerings.

Panther Lake is expected to enter production in Q1 2024, and Lunar Lake will most likely launch in Q4 2024 as the successor of Meteor Lake, while Arrow Lake will bring the Core Ultra series to desktops with the new LGA-1851 socket. Intel detailed a few tidbits about its upcoming Meteor Lake, Arrow Lake, and Lunar Lake offerings at Hot Chips 34. The company also showed the architecture of a 6P+8E Meteor Lake part with separate CPU, GPU, I/O, and SoC tiles all packaged together using Foveros 3D packaging technology. Intel Graphics Compiler patches also suggest that Meteor Lake's tGPU may support hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

Intel unveils CPU roadmap for Raptor Lake, Meteor Lake, Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake architectures

Intel has published its first CPU roadmap in years, having recently presented Alder Lake-P processors. Apparently, we can expect Intel to deliver four new architectures between now and 2025, starting with Raptor Lake, which has 24 cores and 32 threads.

Leaked roadmap reveals details for Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake, Lunar Lake and Nova Lake processor families

The latest roadmap is quite in line with the one leaked by Moore's Law Is Dead a few months ago, but also expands the timeline to 2025 and adds a couple of new families, complete with core cluster names, estimated release dates and performance comparisons to future AMD and Apple models.
