Asus has unveiled a new laptop with Intel's latest silicon. The VivoBook S14 is now purchasable with a Core Ultra 7 258V, 14-inch 16:10 OLED screen and a 75 Wh battery. Prices start at $1,000 for the base variant.

Asus has revealed a new VivoBook model at IFS 2024. Technically, there are two models, the VivoBook S14 (S5406S) and VivoBook S24 (Q423), but the only difference between the two is that the former (S5406S) has Intel Evo certification. Otherwise, both laptops have identical specs, including Intel's new Lunar Lake CPUs.

The VivoBook S14 S5406SA offers just one CPU: Intel's Core Ultra 7 258V. It comes with 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, an Arc 140V iGPU and up to a 1 TB NVMe SSD. Like the ZenBook S14, it gets an OLED panel, but with a lower resolution (FHD+, 1,920 x 1,200), 400 nits brightness, 60 Hz refresh rate and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Other Asus VivoBook S14 specs include a FHD IR camera with Windows Hello, two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, one HDMI 2.1 port, one microSD card reader, a 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7. The laptop comes with a 75 Wh battery that supports 65 Watt charging via USB-C.

Like many other laptops launched recently, the Asus VivoBook S14 comes with a dedicated Windows Copilot key. It weighs 2.87 lbs (1.3 kgs) and it can be purchased soon starting at $1,000 from WalMart, Best Buy, Micro Center and Asus' official website.
