A new leak has shed light on Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 laptop. As expected, it features Intel's new Lunar Lake CPU with 16 GB of on-package RAM, an AMOLED screen, and a paltry 512 GB of on-board storage. Update: Samsung has officially announced the laptop

September 4 2024 update: Samsung has officially announced the laptop via a blog post. It will be available in select markets such as Canada, France, Germany, the UK and the US starting September. Prices will be revealed closer to launch. The original article follow below.

Some days ago, we got access to an exclusive image of the Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 from a trusted source. While it didn't reveal much in the way of specs, it confirmed the upcoming laptop would keep its predecessor's design. Now, Windows Report has revealed more information about the laptop.

As confirmed earlier, the Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 will come with an Intel Lunar Lake CPU, specifically the Core Ultra 5 226V. Since it is a SKU that ends in '6', it will be restricted to 16 GB of RAM. Ideally, Samsung should offer an '8' SKU that comes with 32 GB of on-package LPDDR5x-8533 memory.

For the GPU, it will use Intel's Arc 130V which was recently found to lag behind AMD's Radeon 760M. The more powerful Arc 140V is exclusive to Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 9 SKUs and should be available if Samsung offers said CPUs. Interestingly, Samsung offers a paltry 512 GB NVMe SSD with this Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 model variant.

Other Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 specs include a 16-inch WQXGA+ (2,880 x 1,800) AMOLED screen  clocked at 120 Hz with S Pen support, two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, a HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, a 76 Wh battery that charges at 65 Watts via USB-C, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7. It comes with Windows Copilot certification and a dedicated key to invoke the AI-powered assistant. There's no word about when Samsung will unveil it, but we might not have to wait long now that Intel has officially unveiled Lunar Lake.
