Powkiddy rumoured to grace retro gaming handheld market soon with another budget horizontal release
Powkiddy is fresh from releasing the X35S, a 3.5-inch gaming handheld that also features the same Rockchip RK3566 chipset as the older RGB10 Max 3 (curr. $99.95 on Amazon). Nonetheless, it seems that the company is preparing another option, which joins the RGB10 Max 4 in the list of known unreleased Powkiddy gaming handhelds.
While Powkiddy has not officially confirmed as much yet, NITTRX believes that the company is ready to release the RGB10X. Supposedly, Powkiddy has based the device around the Rockchip RK3326, which somehow remains a staple of many budget retro gaming handheld options. Likewise, the RGB10X is said to feature 1 GB of RAM and a modest 2,800 mAh battery.
Moreover, RetroHandhelds asserts that Powkiddy has equipped the RGB10X with a 3.5-inch IPS display that outputs at 640 x 480 pixels in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Added to that, the device should contain a pair of microSD card slots, a 3.5 mm jack and the capability to recharge at 5V/2A. Currently, Powkiddy is expected to release the RGB10X in four colour options for roughly $40 globally. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when that will occur at the time of publication.
