The Retroid Pocket Mini is almost upon us after a fair amount of teasing. As promised, the company has now revealed all there is to know about the device, which also applies to the larger Pocket 5. In summary, the Pocket Mini features the following hardware:
- Display: 3.7-inch AMOLED, 1,280 x 960, 500 nits
- SoC: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865
- RAM: 6 GB LPDDR4X
- Storage: 128 GB UFS 3.1
- Battery: 4,000 mAh battery (27 W charging)
Additionally, the Pocket Mini is actively cooled, which should help keep the Snapdragon 865 in check within a 165 x 77 x 16.5 mm housing. Moreover, the Pocket Mini supports Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6 and 1080p/60 Hz display output via its USB Type-C port using DisplayPort Alt mode. For reference, the Pocket Mini weighs in at 215 g, which makes it considerably lighter than rivals like the Anbernic RG Cube and only slightly heavier than the RG40XX H (curr. $89.99 on Amazon).
The Pocket Mini will be orderable from 01:00 UTC on September 10. However, Retroid has already revealed the device's product page where it has listed full hardware details. Initially, the Pocket Mini will be available for $189, before rising to $194 on September 11 and $199 after Retroid's pre-order period ends.
