Vivo has made the Y300 Pro official. It's a mid-range phone with a couple of interesting features. One of them is that the Android smartphone is just 7.69 mm thick, but it has a 6,500 mAh battery inside, which is higher than many flagships.

The Vivo Y300 Pro just got fully revealed, and it's one of the slimmest mid-range Android phones with a large battery. To be exact, the smartphone is only 7.69 mm thick but features a 6,500 mAh battery. This is the same capacity as the recently launched RedMagic 9S Pro (12/256 GB curr. $749 on Amazon), but Vivo's new offering is thinner.

It is also a notable improvement from the 5,000 mAh battery of Y200 Pro, and it has support for 80W fast charging as well. However, the battery isn't the only highlight of the new Y300 Pro. As the company's president recently showcased, the new mid-range phone has a premium design.

More specifically, it sports a back design similar to the flagship Vivo X100 series. Of course, the camera setup isn't as capable as those flagships. The back has a dual-camera configuration, with the primary one being a 50 MP unit with f/1.8 aperture and a 1/1.95-inch sensor size.

As for the secondary camera, it's a 2 MP depth sensor. The front of the Vivo Y300 Pro has a 32 MP selfie shooter, another solid upgrade from the predecessor. Under the hood, the new mid-range Android phone has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, which is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

On the note of the front, the Y300 Pro features a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color depth. This display is also rated for up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness. Other notable aspects of the phone include an IP65 rating, Android 14 out-of-the-box, and reverse wired charging support.

Pricing-wise, the base model of the Vivo Y300 Pro with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage costs CNY 1,799 (about $250). The maxed-out variant, on the other hand, costs CNY 2,499 (around $350). No details about global availability and price have been shared yet, but the Y200 Pro did launch in markets outside China.
