Samsung has announced that it is taking orders for its Galaxy S7 Tab Fan Edition (FE) in the US from today (August 5, 2021). Leak confirms specifications of Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus ahead of August 5 launch

Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy Tab S7 series in just over a week, but the full spec sheet for both the Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus has been unveiled. The latest leak about Samsung's premium tablets confirms that the smaller model will have an LTPS TFT display, while the Plus model will sport an AMOLED panel. Both tablets will have a Snapdragon 865 chipset and 6 GB of RAM and will be available with optional 5G.

Samsung's incoming Galaxy Tab S7 could drop Super AMOLED for an LCD display

In the latest Galaxy Tab S7 leak, it appears the Korean company could be taking one step forward and two steps backwards with its latest slate. While the panel might now sport a 120 Hz refresh rate to match the iPad Pro ‘Pro Motion’ tech, it looks like it will step back to a cheaper LCD panel to deliver the new feature.

A Samsung SM-T505 has been spotted on Geekbench 5; based on this model number, it is now projected to be the Galaxy Tab A7 (2020) on its launch. Its new benchmarking results include the novel Qualcomm code-name bengal, which may be a lower-end, albeit new, Snapdragon platform on its own debut.

Another render of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 has leaked ahead of its expected release within the next few weeks. The new image details the premium tablet's Book Cover and S Pen accessories. The latter will likely come bundled with the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7 Plus, but past performance suggests that the Book Cover will be sold separately for upwards of US$180.

An industry insider states that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, indicating that Samsung has reserved the in-display option for the higher-end Galaxy Tab S7+. The tablet is expected to sport an 11-inch screen and a 7,000mAh battery. Samsung is expected to unveil both tablets alongside the Galaxy Note 20 on August 5.
