The Surface Laptop and Surface Pro from Microsoft are now both available around the world in 25 different countries. In the US and Canada, Microsoft has launched a program that allows a user to turn in an older computer for up to US$850 credit towards a new Surface device.

Razer is targeting the boardroom over the livingroom with their new gunmetal grey finish for the Razer Blade Stealth ultrabook, doing away with the RGB backlighting and glowing green logo. Instead of huge bezels with a smallish 12.5-inch screen, the new Stealth will just have regular ones with a 13.3-inch display in both QHD and QHD+ resolutions. The new Stealth is selling for US$300 more than the previous generation.

The Tecra line of Toshiba business laptops has been updated with the new Tecra X40. This new notebook features a tough chassis, various security features, and can be outfitted with a variety of different hardware components. A base version can also be purchased—it includes an Intel Kaby Lake processor and a decent if unspectacular amount of memory and storage.

Xiaomi's 13-inch Mi Notebook Air has been updated for 2017 with an Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU, Kaby Lake i5-7200U CPU, and fingerprint scanner.

Apple has updated their MacBook and MacBook Pro lines of notebooks with Kaby Lake CPUs, optional 16GB of RAM for all models, and improved dedicated graphics for the 15-inch MacBook Pro. The base model MacBook Pro 13 also saw a price-drop to US$1299.

Gigabyte (via subsidiary Aorus) has released a Thunderbolt 3 external graphics dock that is specifically designed around miniaturized desktop GPUs. Additionally, the US$599 dock beats the competition by coming with a GTX 1070 pre-installed.

Matte FHD touchscreens and a starting weight of just over 1 kg make the new 13.3-inch X30-D attractive for business travelers. SKUs start at 1600 Euros and are not yet available in the US.

AMD gave a few more details on its future plans for Ryzen-powered laptops, including 2-in-1, thin-and-light, gaming, and consumer form-factors. Two new AMD-powered (FX, not Ryzen) laptops from Acer and Dell were also showcased.

"Maximum performance at the maximum efficiency state" was the design philosophy for the latest Max-Q series of GPUs for the next generation of gaming laptops. As a first step, Nvidia will be launching three new GPUs, the GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060 with Max-Q technology.
