RedMagic has officially refreshed its 2022 flagship smartphones today (July 11, 2022). The newer 7S-series models combine all the top-end, high-octane features of their predecessors with the updated Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. They also now include a new, second-gen Transformers-branded special edition.

Transition to Intel is expensive. Huawei has now furnished the multimedia notebook MateBook 16 with an Intel processor and calls it the MateBook 16s. Buyers also get a Thunderbolt 4 port, a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi 6E module, and a bit more key travel. Other than that, there isn't much of a difference. Does that justify a price increase of 500 Euro (US$510)?

Netflix announces spatial audio support for all compatible devices

Netflix has announced that it has partnered with Sennheiser to bring spatial audio to its platform. However, this new feature does presume that the individual user has a device that can support it. Accordingly, it should kick in automatically on many Apple products, although those from some other brands might require some adjustment.

iPhone 14-series displays will be made by BOE as well as Samsung and LG

The display OEM BOE's status as a maker of iPhone 14 displays is said to have been in jeopardy following a disagreement with Apple over the manufacture of the flagship smartphones' predecessors. However, it seems BOE has secured its repeat business from the Cupertino giant after all, albeit for a relatively small proportion of 14-series OLED screens.
