OPPO Find X6-series display and processor configurations supposedly leak out ahead of their launch
Even in the third quarter of 2022, leaks concerning flagship smartphones destined for a 2023 release are already springing in profusion. Some of the latest of these concern the OPPO "Find X6" series, which, as such, are painted as successors for the existing Find X5 and X5 Pro.
The new tips might indicate that the OEM intends to stay on top of some recent trends with the X6 series. One of them, according to Digital Chat Station, is the rise of the 1.5K (or 1220p) display, which is apparently headed for 1 upcoming Find X-series device, whereas the other will apparently get a more familiar 2K resolution.
Therefore, it might be reasonable to project that the former might debut in the vanilla X6, with the latter reserved for the Pro variant. Meanwhile, another leaker who calls themselves Digital Agent 007 on Weibo asserts that the first of those will power its screen using the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, while the X6 Pro graduates to that top-end SoC's immediate successor the 8 Gen 2.
Both predictions are reasonable enough, given the precendent laid down by the flagship X5 series and OPPO's reputation for mobile display quality; in addition, the OEM never did join the flurry of 8+ Gen 1-powered smartphone launches at that flagship processor's release.
Therefore, it will be interesting to see if an X6 with that processor is being held in reserve because it is being developed to work with a next-gen MariSilicon X secondary chipset - possibly necessary to gain it some airtime against an X6 Pro thought to pair a 1-inch sensor with its top-end platform.
Moreover, should these leaks prove accurate, the OnePlus 11 and 11 Pro also stand to follow this pattern on their own launch.
