OPPO has announced that it is holding its birthday celebration today (September 17, 2022). The company has been around since 2004, and has achieved a lot during the ensuing years - even if a lot of that seems to have been done over the last few.
It has broken out of its traditional consumer product bases into other areas such as tablets and AR headsets; successfully developed its very own chipset and released its first-gen foldable device, all while shooting into the top 5 among smartphone brands in a number of markets.
On that note, it also has a leading role in the same industry in terms of charging tech, and has established a well-known sub-brand with a pivotal influence on Carl Pei's carrer of the same reputation (if only to swallow it again later).
Now, OPPO aims to mark its 18th anniversary with the launch of its new Global Community portal. This website is intended to provide an "open and inclusive ecosystem" of new social, educational and brand-promotional resources for its international users.
With its forum-like structure and "Circle" format, it is (not completely unsurprisingly) quite like OnePlus' officlal website for the same purpose. OPPO has also highlighted its customer support services during its Anniversary Event, which, as it asserts, have now grown to include "over 320 Service Centers across 21 countries".
